Hey, I’m Marie and I’m 20 years old. I’m from Germany and will be traveling through Europe starting in April 2025. I grew up in a large family with 5 siblings. I worked for 4 years in a residential home for people with physical and intellectual disabilities. There, I learned a lot about life and myself. I also worked in a café for half a year. In my free time, I enjoy walk with my dog or reading. I like to write slams and stories about experiences and topics that interest me. I’m looking forward to exploring new countries and cultures, and I’d love to experience this as a Workawayer.

Hi, it's me, Marie!
I'm twenty years old and live in Germany, near Lake Constance.
I grew up in a big family with five siblings in a old house, so I learned many things about housekeeping and little life hacks for daily routines. Since 2020, I have worked as a social worker specializing in people with disabilities, in a group of eight seniors and 16 younger clients aged 30 to 90 years old. I gained skills in healthcare, medicine, and supporting people in their residential environments.

In January of this year, I quit my job to travel and learn about other cultures and languages.
For the past five years, I have been babysitting two kids aged two and six.
Four times a month, I work in a small coffee shop, where I make coffee, sell products, and interact with customers.
I really enjoy connecting with people and learning about their different lives.
If I were to describe myself, I would say I’m a very attentive and open-minded person, and I’m open to hard work, no matter what it is.
So, maybe you think I’m the right person for your host! :)

I really enjoy taking walks in nature with my dog. In general, I like staying active and trying out new sports. I like to meet my friends and do activities with them. In my freetime i reading books or painting motives that come to my mind. My passion is writing, especially poetry slams about topics that occupy my mind. I’ve been traveling for myself to other countries, for about two years now, and through this, I have developed and learned a lot.
