Hello, my name is Margaux!
I am currently planning travels with two others, Florence and Cosette. We all just graduated Colgate University in upstate NY and are now so excited to see other parts of the world and meet all you lovely people. At Colgate, I was an Environmental Studies major at school, and my love for helping people is leading her to later get a masters in childhood education.
I grew up in a small town in Westchester, NY. I grew up in a hands-on household, and really value hard work and community. I am middle child with two siblings and know the importance of having all hands on deck in a family. At home I have always had many animals - chickens, cats, dogs, hamsters, and spent a few summers working on horse farms, so I am always ready to get my hands dirty.
I thrive in new places, my dad being from France, I have learned to embrace change and make lasting connections with people away from home. I have spent a large amount of my youth in France, forging a connection with both cultures in my life.

I think language is so important in connecting with people. I speak French fluently and my love of language led me to take Italian for a few years in school. I understand better than I can speak. I would love to learn any new languages or work on strengthening my skills.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I graduated with a degree in environmental studies. My studies have enabled me to apply the knowledge learned in a classroom to real world situations. Sustainability and conservation work is one of my passions, leading me to join a turtle conservation trip one summer to Trinidad, as well as, working on an farm through part of my university classes. I am also pursuing a masters in educational studies, with a focus on childhood education. I love working with kids and have worked as a babysitter in both the US and France. Working with kids is extremely rewarding to me, putting me in touch with my inner child. I'm a quick problem solver, and able to adapt in all kinds of situation! I am also very crafty. Given the right tools and guidance, I could be a great handyman on various home projects or a creative helper in any situation. Furthermore, at home I have raised chicken, cats, and dogs, so I have extensive experience in animal care.
