Hallo! 👋 I'm Mahmoud.

If you enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing stories over dinner, or working together on interesting projects, we will probably get along well!

I'm the kind of person who likes to stay active. I enjoy learning by doing, whether it's helping with DIY projects, gardening, painting, maintenance, organizing, cooking together, or trying something completely new. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and I'm always happy to learn skills I've never done before.

My background is a mix of technology and practical work. I've worked as both an electrician and a software developer, so solving problems has become part of who I am. I like understanding how things work, fixing them when possible, and finding practical solutions.

One of my biggest reasons for joining Workaway is to experience Germany beyond the tourist attractions. I want to improve my German, understand everyday life, and learn about local traditions directly from the people who live there. I believe cultural exchange happens in the little moments—cooking together, working in the garden, going for a walk, or simply having a good conversation after a productive day.

People usually describe me as calm, respectful, curious, and dependable. I enjoy meeting people of all ages, listening to their experiences, and sharing my own culture from Egypt. If you're interested, I'd be happy to cook Egyptian food for you!

In my free time I enjoy technology, nature, photography, discovering new places, hiking, cycling, board games, and conversations about culture, history, science, or life in general. I'm always excited to explore local villages, forests, lakes, and hidden places that tourists rarely see.

I appreciate clear communication, kindness, and teamwork. If I stay with you, I'll do my best to contribute, respect your home, and make the experience enjoyable for both of us.

I love exploring the world, discovering different cultures, and connecting with local people. For me, travel is about much more than visiting famous places—it's about sharing experiences, learning new perspectives, and appreciating the incredible landscapes and wildlife that nature has to offer.

I'm especially interested in learning about permaculture, sustainable living, and natural or self-built houses. I enjoy understanding how people can live more in harmony with nature and create practical, environmentally friendly solutions.

I'm also interested in meditation and yoga, and I care deeply about sustainability, reducing waste, and using energy responsibly. We only have one planet, and I believe everyone can contribute in small ways to protecting it.

Creativity is an important part of my life. I enjoy photography, capturing beautiful moments and places, and I love art in all its forms. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with people, exchanging ideas, laughing together, and making the most of every new experience.
