Hi, I’m Magda , a babbly, social, and creative soul with a big love for people, nature, and movement 🌞🧡

You’ll often find me dancing barefoot in the sun, sharing homemade food, or lost in deep conversations under the stars.

Until 2 years ago I worked as a social worker and community builder in the Netherlands, creating spaces of connection, care, and creativity. I love bringing people together, whether through meaningful conversations, shared meals, music, movement, or simply spending time in nature.

Over the past year and a half I’ve been traveling and exploring new paths. I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in the Himalayas and a Level 1 Sound Healing training, and I’ve been sharing yoga classes and sound journeys along the way. I’m fascinated by how movement, breath, and sound can help people reconnect with themselves and each other.

Most recently I spent the winter working in Northern Norway as a Northern Lights guide, guiding small groups into the Arctic night, sharing stories, cooking around campfires, and photographing the aurora. Living and working so close to nature only deepened my love for wild landscapes and simple, meaningful ways of living.

In a Workaway I’m happy to help with many different things: hosting guests, cooking, gardening, creative/ DIY projects, community activities, or helping organize events and retreats.

I enjoy being part of a team and contributing to a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I’m curious, open-minded, and adaptable, and I genuinely love learning new skills and meeting people from different walks of life. What matters most to me is being somewhere with good energy, nature nearby, and people who enjoy sharing experiences.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I'm half Greek and half Dutch. Grew up on an island in Greece, on a small farm outside the city and as the oldest daughter would often help my parents around the house with different tasks, building projects, taking care of the animals and gardening.

When I was 18 I moved to the Netherlands to study Social work. Have my Bachelors and have worked as a social worker/community organiser for a couple of years. My work took place in neighborhoods with a lower social status, helping individuals or groups have more connection with eachother and based on their talents, knowledge and wishes I would support them in organizing community activities and helping create a better living environment. I would work together with different organizations (governmental or not), professionals, local initiatives and residents. I am a excellent teamplayer and enjoy working with others a lot. I can also work independently but thrive more in a team.

I love everything that this earth has created; animals, plants, nature in general and off course people. I am told I have a very gentle and inviting energy and tend to make people or animals feel comfortable around me very easily. I have a lot of patience and can be very motivated when I stand behind something.

Some other skills that could be interesting: I almost got to be a professional basketball player when I was younger (unfortunately due to an injury I decided to stop) but gained so much experience and built character from that time. I was also a scout for many years.
I have managed to keep more than 60 houseplants alive in my apartment in the Netherlands and have made a hobby out of that. I'm good with kids and have worked at schools doing educational projects around development work & sustainability.

I am an extatic dancer, love music and sunsets. I love creating beautiful spaces and I think that's one area where my creativity blooms the most. I have been very proud of every house I've lived in so far, as they have been warm, inviting, colorful and cozy. Very into DIY projects and using second hand or reclaimed materials.
