My name is Maciej (Matthias). I study Civil Engineering in Wrocław and I am traveller. I have discovered workaway after beeing on 6 Erasmus+ projects and volunteering as a scout. I am keen on tourism including hiking, biking or cross- country skiing and I find it as a goal itself.
These vacations I rode by bike 480km from Wrocław to the Baltic Sea coast.
During my studies in every weekend I spend one day hiking in local mountains, Sudetes. These are one of the oldest mountains in Europe!
I can't wait to see Alps and Carpatian mountains.
I often come to my family house to take care of my family, especially my 3 years old brother, but I also have 2 sisters (I am the oldest). Moreover I have a dog which likes sleeping.
I am ambivert. From time to time I need to spend time alone, but I generally like spending time with others (I get used to because of my family).
I don't like noise and racket. I find it really exhausting.

I am able to teach an English for beginners and hold talks. Naturally, I can teach Polish too. I really would like to learn German, because I am planning to go for Erasmus student programme.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have been scout since 2016. I experienced a lot of camping, singing and playing outside. I have been on many trips especially in my country, Poland and I know many places to reccomend.
I've learned how to organise trips from short one to longer expeditions.
Apart from tourism, my hobbies are gardening and playing a board games. Every year I am helping my family in harvesting and gardening.
Moreover I am interested in geopolitics, history and general science.
I was studying to become an electrician in secondary school and currently I am studying civil engineering.
I am native Polish, but I also speak English well and I am German language beginner. I was practicing my English at a few Erasmus+ projects.

I've played a lot of board games such as Carcassone, Splendor, Mars Terraforming, Civilization, Dixit, Ubongo, Scrabble, Ticket to ride, Tzolk'in, Diuna (Empire), Saboteur, few card games and chess.

I also play guitar.
