Hello!

My name is Louis, I am a 23 year old from the UK :)

Between college and university I went to different farms in Spain and Italy and I really loved it- now that I have graduated I really miss workaways and want to do some more.

I now have experience working on 5 different farms- I really enjoy the work, especially working with wood, gardening or harvesting. I love experiencing different cultures, seeing new wildlife, learning new languages, and meeting people, although I'm sure you hear that a lot.

I am very hardworking, enthusiastic, and can learn new skills quickly.

Growing up, my parents built our house as an eco-project, with log-fire heating, self-sustaining food, and using as environmental materials as possible. This means I have experience living without instant luxuries and know the effort it takes to build and sustain a project. I am hardworking and respectful of the jobs that will be asked.

I am half Dutch so I speak to my Mum's family in Dutch. I studied German at school but my level is not very high. I am currently learning Spanish- I spent a few months there and I really want to improve it. I would love to teach anyone English or a little bit of Dutch :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

I live in the countryside, next to an organic farm. I have worked there for 3 years, in the shop and out in the fields. Because of this I love and have experience with weeding, moving stones, removing trees, strimming, chainsawing etc.

After working on different fincas I have more of a knowledge of making wine, feeding animals, cooking, bio construction, working with people I don't know and scaring away wild boars!

Growing up, my parents were building our house, so I have a basic understanding of working with power tools and different materials.

I am physically fit, I run and play football, so I am able to do different tasks.

I can confirm I have known Louis for the last 18 years.
He has worked on the farm in several roles.
Shop work in our Organic Farm shop, duties including interfacing with customers, advising on products, dealing with purchases, using our till system.
Making coffee using the coffee machine
Harvesting and packing vegetables for sale in the shop. Labelling.
He has also worked in the fields weeding, moving logs, mowing lawns and generally being useful.
Louis is hard-working, diligent, personable, honest, respectful. Follows instructions, asks when he is unsure. I would have no hesitation in recommending him as help on an Organic holding.
