Hey there!
We are Lina & Philipp - two friends, who one day decided more or less spontaneously that travelling together to South America would be a fantastic idea. No sooner said than done!
To see that we don't drive eachother crazy, we moved into a flat together for six months. During that time we learned how to bake good bread, cook vegan comfort food, fix our laundry machine and work as a good team also when life becomes a little stressful.
And we never stopped dreaming about South America!

For a little more insight, here are a few more details about the two of us:

After finishing school 2019 I (Lina) started to travel around Canada and the USA and tried out workaway for the first time, which turned out to be a wonderful life-changing idea!
My first host, on Vancouver Island, was a family with two young boys aged 2 and 4. I worked for them mostly as a babysitter and helped them with all kinds of work around their house.
Afterwards I worked on a Hobby farm with a great community of workawayers for 8 months. There I helped with small building projects, taking care of their many animals and maintaining the big vegetable garden. During the last summers I got the chance to have great workaway adventures in Europe: on an old sheep farm in Denmark, a community farm in Spain and another great stay with a star chef in Belgium.

At the moment I am studying medicine in Germany, but I continue to try to explore the world during my semester breaks. I am exited to meet and work with new wonderful people and experience a new country and language.

I would describe myself as an open, well-organized, happy, positive and adventurous person.
Nature in all of it´s diversity is particularly close to my heart, so I enjoy working outside, in the garden and with animals. Besides that, I love working in a team especially with people from all over the world!
I am really looking forward to meeting you and hope that we can have a great time together! 😊

Aaaand I am Philipp, also from Germany ;)
After graduating from school in 2018 I studied economics and computer science for roughly one and a half year but decided that I'd rather work with and for other people. Thats why I switched to studying psychology in 2020.
Though I did not get the chance to do a workaway yet, I gathered some useful skills throughout my life. For example helping my mom buildung raised beds for our garden or doing general maintenance of the garden. Apart from that I really like woodworking. I did an internship in a carpentry for two months and I also built several garden furniture pieces for me and my friends. Also, I worked at a construction site for 8 weeks, which showed me that I enjoy physical work a lot, especially because the process of planning things and then watching them come together.
In my freetime I love to go climbing or hiking, since both enable me to feel connected to the surrounding nature. Taking in a beautiful view is something I can not get tired of!

I would describe myself as a sporty, funny and empathic person, which likes to get his hands dirty and to interact with other people. Getting to know each other and sharing memories really brings me joy. The enviroment and a sustainable way of living is something I care about a lot and I would like to learn more about it! I cannot wait to learn about you and your way of living, the beautiful spanish language and to contribute something to the future of your project! :)
