I am 25 years old from Australia where I was working as a nurse until I left in February to pursue my travel bucket list! Alongside experiencing amazing destinations, the social aspect of travelling has shaped my time in different countries significantly, meeting locals and other travellers. I thrive when I am surrounded by positive, like minded people that also get a kick out of spending time learning new skills and meeting new friends!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am lucky enough to have experienced a few different job titles. I worked in a busy holiday destination pharmacy for four years, which taught me the ins and outs of customer service. I was the first person to help a customer and make sure they had a positive experience with us. This role assisted in building my communication skills in a diverse team.

I spent some time working in an Italian restaurant which gave me the space to learn about food hygiene, the general workings of the front of house restaurant and furthered my skills in customer service. I was also responsible for restocking supplies after closing time and deep cleaning the restaurant to be prepared for the next day. This suited me well as I take pride in keeping a clean and tidy space!

Most recently, I have graduated and worked as a Registered Nurse. Through my studies and experience in the hospitals, I have learnt invaluable first aid skills. This role requires a high level of responsibility, accountability and independence in the workplace. Alongside the personal values of a nurse, I also have a high level of hygiene in my workspace, good time management skills and the ability to connect with all types of individuals. For the last year before I left to travel, I took the role of team leader, alongside caring for my patients, I also fostered a positive work environment for my colleagues and managed the expectations of multiple personalities. My favourite thing about my job is helping people.

I am passionate about spending time outdoors immersed in nature and since I have left Australia I have been loving seeing as many native animals in the countries I am visiting as possible. I love to be in or near the ocean, swimming, snorkelling, fishing and watching the sun change colours on the horizon. My favourite down time activity is reading a book (bonus points if it is on a beach) and recently I have been testing my skills learning to surf.
I like to draw and get creative with DIY projects, especially when it is spicing up something that would otherwise be plain!
