Hello,
My name's Jo and I'm from Vancouver Island. I love being outdoors, whether that be hiking, sailing, kayaking, fishing or just out exploring the coast with my dog. I work as a Commercial Diver and Fishing Guide and like observing/photographing wildlife. I am currently now working for the ambulance service and going to Paramedic school. I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone to learn and experience new things.

Quais são suas habilidades?

- Experience Guiding at a Fishing lodge, helping guests, cleaning boats, packing and weighing fish etc.
- Horses- I volunteered for around 3 months in various countries overseas guiding horseback tours. I used to take lessons when I was younger in both western and English, and love being around horses.
- First Aid- I have a variety of first aid training including 90 hour wilderness first aid, marine first aid, Oxygen administrator etc
- Dog training- I worked as a K9 handler for a security company for two years, I learnt so much and am very interested in dog training. I love dogs and have a wonderful little border collie.
- Diving- I do a variety of work including sea urchin harvesting, underwater rigging/inspection/light construction.
- I have experience operating a variety of boats- tenders, fishing boats, trawlers, sailboats. I have my PCOC and SVOP, MED A3 and ROCM.

She did a great job helping with some of the daily chores with the horses (feeding them and getting them to their day field and back) as well as riding them and got on so well with them! I had an absolutely amazing time at Helle’s farm! I stayed there for a month and I couldn’t have asked for a better Workaway.
