Hello there,

I'm Jo, a single mum living with my five-year-old son, Franz. I spent many years living and travelling in the Middle East and Asia, and I recently completed my training as a body psychotherapist in Germany.

One of my biggest passions is exploring the world. I love historical buildings and magical places. I enjoy being in nature, but I love buzzing cities just as much.

I'm also very passionate about music and sound in general. I love listening to audiobooks and hearing people speak different languages. Even when I don't understand them, I enjoy picking up on the unique expression and melody that each language carries. At the moment, I'm especially fascinated by the English language and recently travelled to the UK to immerse myself in authentic British accents and improve my own English.

I have spent most of my adult life travelling and living an alternative lifestyle. Since my son is approaching school age, I want to explore the different options available for him to grow up and learn outside of the regular school system. Therefore, I'm very interested in meeting families and communities that practise free learning or homeschooling, and in exploring different ways children can learn and grow outside the mainstream school system. This is one of the things I'm most looking forward to exploring on my upcoming trip.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Having many different interests, I have developed basic skills in a variety of fields:

Being a mother and having worked in a forest kindergarten, I have experience taking care of kids and managing groups of children.

I've trained in Biodynamic Psychology, a psychotherapy method developed by Gerda Boyesen. It's a very special therapeutic approach that focuses on the mind-body connection, and includes massage and energy work.
I also have some experience facilitating workshops on self-awareness and body awareness, as well as improtheatre sessions.

I have basic knowledge of gardening and farming, and some experience taking care of horses.

I'm a fairly good cook and especially enjoy baking cakes (I'd love to volunteer at a pastry shop or bakery!) and one of my little dreams is to work in a chocolaterie one day. Asian food is definitely my favourite, and I'd love to learn more about preparing Asian dishes. As a vegetarian, I don't cook meat or fish, though.

I've done simple construction and restoration work before. What I enjoy most is wall painting and building simple wooden furniture. I also recently converted my car into a camper van myself.
