For the past 5 years I’ve been focusing on my professional life - I work as a dentist. During this time, I somehow forgot my love for animals. I sold my two horses, stopped going to horse riding holidays and horse care Workaways.

This year, during a month-long camper van trip in Scotland, I remembered. Spending time in the Scottish Highlands, meeting sheep, horses, wildlife, marine wildlife, got me closer to nature. I am prepared to take a step back and experience life on a farm again.

Past Workaway experiences: stable work, horse care and handling, exercising horses, spending time with children in a horse riding summer camp, leading yoga type exercise for a small group.

I am interested and in and will be happy to do all animal care. I also like plants, and after some instruction I will be happy to do gardening. I am an introvert but I very much like people, deep talks, philosophical conversations. I am also interested in children as people, I am patient and respectful, but I don’t have any special talent or skills in work with children.
Work around the house like cleaning or maintenance is okay, but cooking stresses me out - I’d rather wash the dishes. I am a strict vegetarian and I try to avoid cow milk most of the time, but eating is not a big issue for me, I find a way to make it work everywhere.

I like the outdoors, I like to move, my favourite sports are calisthenics, hiking, running, climbing. I read books and meditate regularly.
I live with my partner and our rescue dog. In the summer months, we live partly in our camper van, but we are also renting a small flat in the capital city of Slovakia.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I love animals, and I have experience with horses and dogs. I am interested in all animals, but other farm animals I have only admired from afar so far.

I did horse riding actively for 10 years in the english style. I took care of my warmblood mare since she was 5. Later, looking for a challenge, I developed a young warmblood gelding with the help of my trainer in the basics of dressage. I am used to slowly working with the young, unbalanced horse which is still looking for a stable connection. However, as I was mostly riding my own horses, I am not used to bucking, rearing, or other bad habits.

Since we’ve adopted a traumatised shelter dog, the past two years I’ve been learning a lot about reactivity in dogs, positive reinforcement training, obedience training, dog tricks and enrichment. This is something I highly enjoy.
