Experiences is what I treasure most. In terms of material possessions I am quite a minimalist. I would rather spend my money on creating memories than on increasing the things that I own. I am 59, single, in good health and retired. I am grateful for what I have and want to make the most of it. I enjoy traveling. My goal is to travel the world for 6-7 months of the year and digest my experience at home in California the remainder of the year. Apart from 2020, the Covid year, I have more or less done this for the last 5-6 years.

Workaway has been great for me. It provides some structure, purpose and instant friends. I have used it for stints in Alaska, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Colombia and Ecuador and enjoyed each of them immensly.

Quais são suas habilidades?

My professional life consisted of 30 years of software programming in high tech companies in Silicon Valley, California. Work is important to keep the mind busy and engaged. I have continued to do that, but in totally different fields. I worked for 1 month in a kitchen in Esalen, California (https://www.esalen.org/), for 2 months in house keeping at a resort in Kalani, Hawaii (https://www.kalani.com/), as a teaching assistant in English teaching institues in Colombia/Ecuador/Cambodia, as a helper on an island in Alaska for 2 weeks. These were as part of a work exchange program. I have also spent a month in yoga/spiritual ashrams in Rishikesh, India, and worked as a cashier/stocker in a grocery store for 3 months. I am conscientious, diligent and hard working and can be trusted to do the tasks assigned to me cheerfully and without oversight.

I am fit and healthy. I recently did the Camino de Santiago walk in Spain (800 km in 5 weeks with a 25 pound backpack). I can be counted on to do physical work.

I am originally from India. I came to USA as a 22 year old to go to graduate school and stayed on to work in the high tech industry, and now as a workaway. I hope to continue my life journey with an experience with you!!
