Hey!
We are Hannah and Gordon, a couple from Hamburg, Germany, traveling together since October 2022 looking to discover new places around the world and hopefully even find a new home sometime in the future. During our time in Portugal we adopted a 3-year old smaller dog, Coco. She is (as her parents ;)) easy going, likes to explore nature, make new dog friends and loves to cuddle a lot!
Some facts about Hannah: She has studied media technology and is now working as a freelance video editor to have the freedom to discover more of this planet. While she loves the creative work as an editor (video and text), she always needs to spend time outdoors to recharge, may it be hiking, skiing, snowboarding (with limited skills so far :D). She is getting more into gardening and doing all kinds of work outside, with animals, working with wood, building things and also learning arts and crafts, but is also open to any kind of work. She has played handball for over 25 years, worked in different areas like journalism, video production or even as an ice cream maker (best job ever!) and is always looking to learn new things and skills.
Gordon is also really nature driven. While he was working in the marketing area for quite some years now, he is working on his skills in gardening, his knowledge about healing plants,and working with animals and outdoors in general. He grew up on a small farm with sheep and other animals in northern Germany and is able to repair all kinds of stuff. He loves to cook for himself and others and is a great host and warm and welcoming person.
We both love being outside as much as we can, pet every (not dangerous) animal that comes our way. We are very torn between our favourite places in nature as we love the woods, beaches, the plain land where we come from and the mountains. We are also interested in spirituality and exploring the different faces it has in different cultures. For us, there is nothing better than coming home from a day outside to a cozy and warm place, refueling with great food, reading a book or chat about this and that.
Our first Workaway experience was in Melbourne and we loved it: giving a helping hand, teaching and learning, making new friends around the world and find places, maybe even to stay a bit longer.

Quais são suas habilidades?
Our best skill is, that we are open to everything and we learn very quickly (Hands-On!) and with great pleasure. We can help you with all kind of stuff: Cooking, baking, housework, basic construction work, organization, gardening or working with animals. We both are not afraid of physically exhausting work.
If you like, Hannah can teach you about video editing, writing, communications and teamwork, learning English or German or even improve both our French skills together.
Gordon can teach you a lot about life, about spirituality and how to deal with tough times. He can show you how to cook and even how to DJ. Right now he is practicing how to produce music.
