Hello, reader(s),
My name is Jonathan, I'm 45 years of age.

The reason for me joining this website, is because I'd like to see new places, obviously (haha).
But more specifically, I want to emigrate.
The Netherlands, where I am from, is nice in a few ways, but we lack true nature. It's also become very crowded here.
My grandmother and mother died a couple of years ago, and I've been ready for a new life ever since.

After considering quite some options, I decided that Canada will suit me best. I've never been there before, but my gut feeling is usually correct.
Besides, I've been to Korea, Japan, Australia and other countries, and it all wasn't for me. ;)
So a long term volunteering work place in Canada would be amazing, from my side. Location-wise, I've also done my research and British Columbia would be an awesome new home. ;)

A little more about me then, if I haven't lost your interest up to this point. ;)
I don't smoke, and I don't drink alcohol. Furthermore, I think it's fair to say that I'm a kind person.
Before covid, I have had different jobs, but none truly fulfilling.
So after my mother died, I started to chase my true dream. Which is writing fiction books.
So that's what I'm doing now :)
One of my books (for I'm actually writing 2 at the same time) is fiction in the sense of being a completely different world.
The other is a young adult with a girl as the main character, in our world, yet with some differences. The latter, I have gotten some test readers for and they were all very positive, so that's nice :)
Some of my hobby's: I love hiking through mountains/hills/forests, dogs, playing games, reading books, and lots of other things.
Most of all, though, I love to just be free, as I consider myself a free spirit. So being around like-minded spirits is quite important for me.

As for the volunteer work, I could and would do anything that is requested of me.
That being said, outdoor work always makes me happy. :)
