Aloha,

after more than 3 years full time traveling here a little insight into my journey.

My name is Francis, I am born and raised in Germany, 36 years old and looking for a more peaceful and sustainable way of living. What really inspires me? The enthusiasm to start something completely new, the power of a blank sheet of paper.

I am having the dream to live and be part of a little Utopia. A refuge, in the wilderness of Spain. Where people come together, create and be part of a change in that world. Sustainable living with the land, in the rhythm of nature.

Since the beginning of 2020 I am on my journey and was part of 12 interesting and very different projects (Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal).

Nearly 3 years of traveling means my light, colorful backpack is full of inspiring encounters and new experiences, laughters, tears. The most important advice of life I learned - trust.

In the I Netherlands I lived in a community and worked 10 month to open a holistic spirituell well being center. I helped renovating the house, gave the whole look to the center and finally I had the honor to give it the name OHANA (after my heart place, Hawaii). After the opening in the beginning of 2021 I felt it´s time to move on. I let my art-design-fingerprint and the deep gratitude to have met so many warm-hearted people behind and went to Spain.

So long story short (not that easy with all these different experiences in mind) - since Oct 2021 I am living on an isolated OFF GRID goat farm in CATALUNYA (mountains, 40 goats, 6 sheep, 6 dogs, 26ha). After more than one year I feel it´s time to move on, to go out and connect again. The solitude and being so connected to nature was good to take a break and reflect, to let my thoughts flow and listen to my inner voice. So now I hear the call of curiosity :)

The school of life and 14 different projects also taught me nice skills:
- I am a creative bomb (paint from the stone to the house facade, music, dance)
- house renovation, building, work with my hands
- natural building with Clay
- gardening (especially good lawn mowing)
- animal care (especially goats, sheep, dogs) - milking, making cheese
- be empathetic and a good companion (I have spent a lot of time with children as well as a few months with a very old couple in the mountains of Asturias)

I am traveling by Car together with my "Heart of Gold", my dog Jack.

Background: 2019 I broke up my office job as a designer (I studied design for many years, graphic, web, photo, film). Now I am looking forward for something more fulfilled than sitting behind a Laptop with an apple at it´s back the whole day.

I am traveling l with my best buddy on 4 legs. My dog „JACK“ will accompany me. He is a wonderful soul, gives everyone so much positive energy and leaves joy. 20 Kilo full of love.

Cut! The backpack is lightened, freed from material and emotional ballast and GO FOR IT!

I've traveled a lot in recent years. So far, unfortunately, only for a few weeks. I was on Hawaii four times, that was my "game changer". The Aloha spirit, the permaculture projects there, the surf culture and the community thought grabbed me.
What else inspires me? I take pictures (analogue), make a lot of music (ukulele, cajon, kalimba, ..), dance with the hula hoop, do handpoked tattoos, jump trampoline, surf in the wind and walk through the world with an open mind, eyes and heart. I love getting to know new people and different cultures, traveling and getting involved in a group, being at home in a new place and sharing.

I speak English and a little French and Spanish, I like to get up at sunrise, can cook, organize, manage, dig earth, care for animals, entertain and play ukulele around the campfire.

I started my journey in March 2020, the end is open.
