I have already found my hosts along my travel through Italy for this summer. :)

I have always loved riding my bike. I started my first bike tour after I finished school (From Berlin to Prague). At that time I also planned many different tours through Europe. This year I finished my studies in computer science and will travel the EuroVelo 7 through Italy.

To not just speed through the country I would like to learn more about the people and the culture. I would love to be involved in community or family activities to learn what it means to be Italian and focus on the regions of Tuscany and around Naples. I enjoy calm conversations, hikes and l long evenings with games and talks.

I enjoy being physically active, working on projects that include building and creating objects, as well as cooking delicious food, or being outside in nature. You can easily motivate me when it comes down to finishing a task together.

For now, I do not know what to write else. I will update this post later.

To prepare for my bike tour I started to learn Italian. For the most time I was studying vocabulary, therefore I might be able to read something but I will definitely need some help with speaking and writing. I would love to help you practice your German or English.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Repairing and building:
As a bike enthusiast, I learned early on that it's important to repair and fix things rather than throw them away. As a child I was part of a rowing club, once a month we met to repair damaged boats or fix necessary work at the boots house. To help friends I often offer my help when they move with tasks such as painting walls.

Farm life and cooking:
When I was younger we often went on a farm. There I had my first contact with feeding cows or taking care of the chickens and cats. Further, we produced our own apple juice. In summer we often prepared jam or syrup. At home, I often took care of the cooking during the weekend and would also love to learn more about the Italian kitchen.

General tasks:
As long as the task is not complicated I can adjust to most tasks easily and know how to pack things on. I'm used to carrying heavy things and have good spatial sense, which helps me understand things.

Language:
I have been for years on apps like Tandem or HelloTalk where I interacted with people all around the world, to learn more about different cultures. Most of the time I was talking/teaching English, and sometimes German. My partners often describe me as a patient teacher.

Due to my bike tours I am used to being in nature and do not fear insects (I also do not love them, but they exist).

In case you are in acquisition of a chess board, we could challenge each other in a duel of minds.

If you like to sing and now some traditional Italian songs, I would also like to learn and sing them together. You could also teach me the basic of the traditional Italian dance style.. if I remember correct it was called Tarantella.
