Hi! My name is Filip, I’m 19 years old and currently finished my Abitur in Germany. I was born in Singapore and grew up in Amberg, a small town in Bavaria. Alongside school, I have been working for the last three years as a waiter in a restaurant, which taught me how to work hard, stay organized, and communicate well with all kinds of people.

I really love animals and taking care of them. I have two dogs myself and also a 300-liter aquarium, so I am used to responsibility and daily care routines. Besides that, I enjoy gardening, helping outdoors, and making places look beautiful and welcoming.

Traveling and discovering new cultures is a huge passion of mine. I have already visited many countries and even lived in China for some time, which helped me become very open-minded and adaptable. I want to join Workaway because I would love to meet new people, experience local culture in a real way, learn new skills, and gain life experience beyond school.

I would describe myself as creative, friendly, open, and easy to get along with. I enjoy working with others, laughing together, and creating a positive atmosphere. I am especially interested in hosts with farm work, gardening, animals, or outdoor projects, but I am also happy to help with many other tasks and always willing to learn something new.

I am a reliable, responsible, and friendly person with strong communication skills. I have been working as a waiter since I was 16 years old, which has helped me develop excellent customer service skills, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work well under pressure.

I grew up in China and attended an international school, so I am very comfortable in multicultural environments and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures.

I am experienced with gardening and outdoor work. At home, I regularly help with lawn care, growing and maintaining fruits and vegetables, general garden maintenance, and small practical projects such as laying electrical cables underground for garden lighting.

I also enjoy decorating and organizing spaces. I have experience caring for animals, including my two dogs and a 300-liter aquarium, which has taught me responsibility and consistency.

In addition, I have basic technical and practical skills, a driving license, and I am fluent in both German and English. I am always willing to learn new things, help where needed, and contribute positively to a team.
