My name is Fanny François, I am from France but I have been living in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) for 7 years now.

I will have a one month vacation in March and I am looking for a volunteering position in a Spanish speaking country to practice my Spanish.

I want to volunteer while traveling because I think it is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture of the country where you are and meet locals and because I want to learn and practice skills different from what I do for a living in Rio.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I studied Political Sciences and International Relations with a specialization in Project Management in South America.

Since 2016, I have been working for the library of the French Consulate in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), promoting events and cultural activities, creating web content, managing social networks and taking part in the daily tasks of a library (customer service, collection management, etc.).

I have volunteered while traveling for ten years. First in the USA (helping an organization to raise awareness about water issues in the region), in Italy (as a Kitchen hand in a music festival), in New Zealand (animal care and building and repairing in a sheep farm, gardening and family stay, cleaning in a B&B) and in Brazil through the Worldpackers platform (one with a beekeeper, one on an ecofarm and one in a horse center).

As for travels, I visited most of France. Internationally, I went to West Canada, London, Berlin, Spain, Italy Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Scotland and New Zealand. I also visited most of Brazil since I live in Rio.

I enjoy traveling abroad, discovering new cultures, learning and practicing languages. I also enjoy travels that involve activities in contact with nature like hiking.

I do enjoy cultural and artistic activities: aerial acrobatics (silk, hoop), singing, dancing, ballroom dancing (especially west coast swing), music.

I also enjoy any nature-related activities like hiking, trekking, contact with animals, observing wildlife, etc...
