Hello! I love life and I love the world. I try to live every day with mindfulness and savor every moment. Learning new things and learning more about myself is a guide for my life. I appreciate going out of my comfort zone, doing lots of research about random things, learning from others, reading. In my spare time I also like to sew and make clothing, build things, and go to second hand shops. I love sharing a good meal, having a laugh, taking care of my body, and being around my wonderful husband, friends and family. I also love cats!

I have done workaway in the past (as a separate couples profile with my partner) and now I very much looking forward to it again! It was an amazing experience with 3 different hosts in France and Italy.

I grew up in a small beach/surf town and I absolutely love the ocean and the mountains. Taking in nature is something dear to me. Swimming, hiking, working with my hands are things that bring me peace and joy. I'm pretty adventurous & spontaneous, but I also do enough research/planning to be be safe. I also love travelling and practicing languages (I just finished a big Central Asia trip with my husband!) and I am not afraid of trying all new foods and ways of life!

Quais são suas habilidades?

My friends and family would describe me as resourceful and a DIYer! I have worked as a garden and nutrition teacher in schools, a landscape gardener, manager of a children/teen program at a homeless shelter, worked in operations at a tech company, and all kinds of other random gigs and jobs!

Skills:
-Garden and farm maintenance, planning, planting, harvesting, aesthetic tree pruning, weeding, etc.
-Using some basic power tools, building small things, sanding/staining wood etc, mortaring stone fences, painting etc.
-Education, organization, lesson planning, activities and project management
-Grant and content writing
-Collaboration and listening skills
-Hospitality and cleaning skills (I love a clean space!)
-I am very adaptable, understanding, and very thorough in everything I do
-Sewing and mending things, finding DIY solutions and re-using/-purposing every-day items!
