Hey there,
I'm Emily.
I`m already travelling for a few month now.
I´ve spent last winter on the canary islands. There I helped out at a sustainability center and with repairing cave houses. Afterwards I´ve been to an alpaca farm. So I had some pretty special experiences during those workaways.
There is still a lot of adventure, new experiences, learnings and impressions ahead of me. I´m in Scandinavia right now and looking forward to get to know that part of the world.
Also I want to make myself useful on the way, slow down from times to times, get to know myself better, get to know new people with new perspectives and spend time in nature.
I´m interested in sustainable ways of living, building, agriculture..
To lower my impact on emissions I´m so far only travelling over land.

Quais são suas habilidades?
I´ve done an apprenticeship as a carpenter (or joiner) for 2 years. Since than I worked for a few companies that are renewing and isolating roofs and building up new houses in wooden construction. Even If I'm still in a learning process I'm happy to make myself useful with these skills and curious to learn more about eco-construcion etc.
Before working in the construction field I was studying architcture for a few semesters. So I have a basic understanding of designing and creating spaces. And I´m pretty good in drawing buildings.
Furthermore I would love to learn about plants and how to grow them in an ecologic way. I already have a bit gardening experiences from other volunteering, my balcony and my mums garden. And I helped out at a organic gardening firm for a few weeks where I harvested all kinds of vegetable. I´m happy to experience more about organic farming, gardening.

I love a lot of things that you can do outside at the fresh air as hiking, swimming in the sea/lakes, slakelining, tabletennis, lying in the hammack, going to festivals in the summer..
Apart from outside activities I enjoy different kinds of creative work as drawing, building, writing. And like discovering new music, dancing and trying to play instruments myself.
