I recently quit my film production company in Berlin to travel. (Currently in Japan with family.) My plan is to backpack starting December 22nd in Thailand and maybe Vietnam until around end of Feb / start of March. By then I'll hopefully have a job lined up to teach English in Korea while intensively learning Korean.

I love anything artsy or natury. My steadiest hobbies are writing, reading, running, and yoga. I've been trying to teach myself woodworking, and finished a mezzanine bed a couple days before my departure. I love (learning from) any sort of DIY.

I grew up most of my life in a small town in Greece, shriveling up in the sun or scrambling around in the mountains, surrounded with animals. I'm more than comfortable around flora and fauna and have recently gotten into mushroom foraging.

I first made a workaway profile to affordably backpack around Latin America for a year before university (way back in 2017). I ended up not using it and finding gigs by showing up places and asking. It probably didn't help that I was traveling with no internet and a phone that stayed on 20 minutes at a time. I worked mostly in restaurants and hostels.

I've started learning Italian which has beautifully merged with my Spanish so I can confidently say I'm fluent in Spitalian. Teaching-wise, I was a French Teaching assistant in university and have about a year and a half's worth of experience planning and teaching classes once a week as well as one-on-one tutoring. I like to learn and teach through exposure/ cultural exchange, but can also lead formal lessons. I was fascinated by Psycholinguistics in college.
