Hey there, my name is Caroline and I am from Munich, Germany.

Having worked a couple of years in a corporate job, I decided to now travel a bit. My wish for my ‘workaway' experience is to get inspired by new/other/conscious ways of living, meet interesting and like-minded people, spend time in nature (I really missed it) and find new ideas for my own future.

Over the last years, I traveled quite a bit around the world. However, I realized that short-term trips do not really interest me anymore. What I am passionate about is to spend a longer period of time in a country so that I can immerse myself into this new place, its culture and people, and take away a more profound experience.

I am an empathic, organized, down-to-earth person who enjoys spending time in nature (hiking is one of my passions). Learning about permaculture and growing own vegetables etc. is something that I would like to learn more about.

Fellow travelers told me about ‘workaway’, so I checked the website, considered it great and here I am :) I am very much looking forward to meeting interesting, wonderful people and making new experiences in the 'workaway' world.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am a structured person who loves to bring order into something. Not sure if this is my German heritage but it’s really fun for me :) So I would be happy to support you in case you need help in sorting out things and/or bringing some structure and neatness into something (like a room, etc.).

My gardening skills are basic (i.e. taking care of my mother’s small veggie garden while she is on vacation). So, no profound knowledge here, just some little experience. But I would love to gain some more knowledge (especially about permaculture).

Due to my job and my travels, I am used to interact with people from different nationalities. I speak English fluently and have basic knowledge in French and Spanish.

Recently, I spent some time in an ashram in India. I would be happy to share the meditation and breathing practices that I learned there.

During my studies, I helped out on a horse ranch, doing some general ranch work and helped with riding lessons (such as getting the horses ready, etc.).

My educational background is in management (bachelor's degree) and tourism (master's degree), leading to a job as controller in the finance department of a big tourism company. So, I bring some expertise in these fields.

Currently, I really want to have the opportunity to spend time outdoors in nature. I did not have the chance to do so a lot in the last years and I really miss it. I always feel very good having spent a day in nature :)

Also, I have to admit that I am not a very passionate cook. Therefore, regularly cooking for others is not really where my strenths lie.
