Hi, I'm Bradley. I'm 25 years old from Pennsylvania, United States. I am looking for opportunities that are welcoming to all where I can learn new things, build friendships, and lend a helping hand.

This past fall I spent two months traveling around Europe and the Middle East. Now I'm home for the holidays, and after the new year I will be traveling around Central and South America. First I will be in Guatemala where I'll attend a Spanish school and do some recreational travel, and then I plan to find a Workaway in Costa Rica. From there I will most likely continue on to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

I love the outdoors, and as time goes on I feel a stronger and stronger connection to nature. I would like to deepen that connection. So, I'm primarily looking for Workaway experiences where I can and continue spending time in and learning about our natural world. That being said, I'm not necessarily opposed to other Workaway experiences.

As for my personal life, I would describe myself as optimistic, empathetic, open-minded, and curious. I try to be a positive force on the world around me. I like helping others. I love getting to know new people, though every once in a while I appreciate an evening alone to relax and recharge too. In my free time I really enjoy music, nature, reading, playing chess and other card games, and meditating.

Yes, I enjoy learning about languages. I currently know basic Spanish and will be attending Spanish school in Guatemala (and maybe Colombia) to improve those skills, but I am also interested in learning some of any local language where I am traveling.

Outdoor skills:
- Planting flowers, pulling weeds, and watering plants
- Harvesting apples, pears, potatoes, carrots, and various herbs
- Mowing the grass, raking leaves, trimming hedges, shoveling snow, clearing gutters, and painting
- Using rock armoring techniques to fill muddy spots and prevent erosion on hiking trails

Housework:
- Cleaning, washing dishes
- Caring for pets
- Basic home building/repair skills like painting walls, laying tile, hanging doors, and moving home goods and appliances

People skills:
- Working with people in customer service / guest service settings
- Communicating through language barriers

For almost four years now I have been working in a corporate desk job, and although I have learned a lot, I have found that the work does not fulfill me. So, in August 2022 I quit that job. While I am getting ready to make the next step in my life, I have decided to spend some time traveling in hopes of learning new things, experiencing different lifestyles, making new friends, and maybe learning more about myself.

I would like to use Workaway during this time because I believe that helping others and being there for one another is important in this crazy world.
