Hello! My name is Boaz, i'm 24 years old and I come from Amsterdam.

I love the outdoors and everything that comes with it. I love all animals, from dogs and cats to whales and pigeons and anything in between. I have a passion for mountains and snow, especially when skiing is involved. I have a lifelong interest in photography. I love good coffee, and try to further perfect my espresso every morning. I ride a motorcycle from the 90's because I thought it was the coolest motorcycle when I was a kid and I plan to drive it to where ever I might end up!

I quit my job almost half a year ago in order to start as a motorcycle mechanic but after that fell through, I've been looking around for something new to do. I have been feeling a bit lost, not knowing what's next, which is why I want to give this a try. I'm hoping a few months away from home, on the road, will bring new insight and peace of mind.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I've worked as a bicycle mechanic and a motorcycle mechanic. I'm fairly mechanically inclined and also handy with wood. I've built my own bed, a bench and a small mounting system for my skis so I can display them in my room among other small fixes. I've helped paint houses and cupboards and all sorts of things. I'm slightly knowledgable about cutting wood and trees. I've done a welding course on MIG/MAG welding where I also got to try a little bit of TIG welding and seemed to pick it up quite fast and I've also done a forging course where I got to make my own axe blade. All to say, I'm quite handy overall, can pick up skills fairly quickly but most importantly know how to work with tools in a safe manner.

I've also worked as a mediamanager in a post production company, where I've gotten to learn mostly about systems but also picked up a little bit of editing skills. While i might not be the most proficient editor, I can puzzle together a nice video with a little bit of time. I love photography and would love to take some photo's wherever possible!

I've done some babysitting for cats and dogs and love animals. And finally I love to make nice coffee, at home with my espresso setup and I doubt I'll hit the road without a travel sized coffee setup!

I love climbing! Especially bouldering, as I'm not quite knowledgable of setting up ropes for top-rope or lead, my knowledge starts with how to put on a harness and (pretty much) ends at how to tie a double 8 knot. But I'll most likely bring my shoes and chalk just in case there might be a good bouldering spot around.

I also used to mountainbike and used to ride a fixed gear bike around the city, so I love bikes!

Last year I swam the Amsterdam city swim to raise money for ALS, I'm not an avid swimmer but I do enjoy swimming, especially if there's snorkeling involved.

I'm fairly sporty and always down for activities.
