Hello! I’m Aru, a dreamer passionate about traveling the world, meeting new people, and exploring all the wonderful aspects of life. Started in February 2024, I’m backpacking journey around the globe.

My hobbies include scuba diving, going to the gym, hiking, fishing, and camping—I absolutely love outdoor activities! While staying at your place, I’d be thrilled to learn about your culture and share my own Japanese traditions with you.

During my travels so far, I’ve hiked mountains in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Bolivia, and Spain.
My longest trek was the Camino de Santiago (Camino del Norte) in Spain, where I walked an incredible 910 kilometers in 42 days.
The highest peak I’ve climbed was in Bolivia, reaching an altitude of 5,200 meters. 💪

I’m excited to continue my adventures and make meaningful connections along the way!

Since I don’t have a specific technical skill, I’m eager to gain new experiences and continue improving myself.

I’ve worked in various roles, including as a waitress, a gym receptionist, a nature guide leading canoe tours, and a salesperson at a human resources company. I’ve also volunteered at a guesthouse, a scuba diving shop, a farm, and as a dog sitter.

I enjoy trying new things, working hard, and fully dedicating myself to the tasks I take on. I also love taking care of children, animals, and nature.

During my stay, I’d be happy to share Japanese culture with you!

I had the incredible opportunity to stay at Ria's farm for almost three weeks, and it was an unforgettable experience. The farm itself was beautiful and so peaceful. I had such a great time with Ria, her brothers, the other workawayers, and the many adorable animals.

I stayed at this hotel for a week, and the surrounding scenery was absolutely breathtaking! I spent a lot of enjoyable time on the terrace every day. Aru has been my first experience as a host, and I can only say that it has been perfect. The only drawback is that I find it very difficult for my next experiences to be as comfortable, pleasant, and able to give me as much as the first. Hard to beat.

I had an amazing time here with my friend. My friend stayed 1 week and I stayed 3 weeks with Edu(Eduardo) and Leon.

The host Edu is a warm, honest and kind man.

This was my first workaway experience and I really loved it! I was going to stay here for two and half weeks, but ended up staying 1 month! Javier was so nice and always willing to help me and other volunteers. It was easy to get along with the other volunteers and guests as well. I always felt here as my home. Thank you!

We have always say that we have luck to have some of the greatest volunteers working with us, and Aru is not an exception. She is very smart, and fast learner. Great with guests and the staff.
