Hello :)

I'm Anne, a 23-year-old girl from Germany. This year I got my undergraduate degree in Psychology and before continuing my studies, I really want to explore some new places and cultures. After hearing about workaway, I thought this would be a great option to connect traveling with some work and get the opportunity to meet new people. So this is why I'm here now, searching for some open and lovely hosts.

To know me a little better, I want to write some things about myself.
Over the last four years I studied Psychology, which of course is one of my interests. Because I love working with children and also think about becoming a child and youth psychotherapist, I worked as a caseworker next to my studies. That means, once a week I supported a little boy with autism. In my free time I take classical singing lessons, meet my friends for tea or a walk and do some sports. I really love being in nature and discover new places. In general, I'm an open person who loves meeting new people. Maybe I'm a little introvert in the beginning, but this is getting better by time! I'm not the strongest but therefore I would describe myself as carrying, dutiful and ambitious. For me, a kind and respectful interacting is important. I live vegetarian, almost vegan, so the possibility to do so would be great – but no worries, I don't have a problem, if the people around me doesn't have the vegetarian/ vegan lifestyle.

I'm really looking forward to meeting some lovely hosts and learn something about your culture and daily routines.

I really want to improve my English, because after leaving school I came a little bit out of practice. I'm also open to learn a new language. Of course, I'm willing to learn you some German if you want to.

Quais são suas habilidades?

As I already wrote, I'm a careful and dutiful person. If somebody gives me a task to do, I'm willed to give my best and solve it in a reliably. During high school I regularly worked as a babysitter and while my studies I worked as a caseworker, supporting a little boy. I've also done an internship in a kindergarten and a children's hospital. Therefore, I have a lot of experience taking care of children and I really love working with them. With the beginning of my studies I moved from home and with that I've learned to manage my household alone. Cooking, cleaning and doing laundry are things I often do, and I have experience with. I also worked as a temporary substitute in some clothing and furniture stores which means that I know how to interact with customers, work in a team and had the experience to do some physical work. Because of my studies, I have a good knowledge about mental health and scientific work.
