Hi there! We are Amanda and Jakob, two people from Denmark who are now on our way out in the world!
We both love the outdoors, and have been a couple for 10 years.
We are travelling in our own, homemade campervan 🚐 called KarenVelle. She’s a good old hippie with lots of flower power. ✌🏽🌸🌼

Who are we?

👩🏼 Amanda is 28, and has just finished her education as a Media Graphic Designer in Aarhus, Dec 2023. 📱🖥️ 🎨 She has worked with photography since 2014 and has a lot of experience with artistic, family and personal sessions with locations in nature. Also at events or for businesses she has experience with product photos, and enjoys capturing life and happenings through the lens.📸

She has a goofy side and loves to explore nature around, and often takes the off-road when taking a stroll through the woods.🌿 also a big cat person! Absolutely adores the little creatures 🐱 Boardgames and trips in the weekend are loved.

👨🏼‍🌾 Jakob is 29, and has worked many different jobs, is a real handyman and is educated “Forest- and Nature-Technologist”. The last five years Jakob has been working with preservation of rivers, streams and high valued nature. Building and maintaining of both outdoor facilities and fences for different animals is a part of Jakob’s skills. So he is good with tools. He loves the outdoors, and hard work. He has experiences with animals, and specially with horses.
He is up for any task, and will help where help is needed.

Jakob has been a part of FDF his whole life. He has been an instructor for young people for many years, and enjoys the adventures they go on. FDF is a big outdoor organisation for children and youth in Denmark.
Fun fact: Jakob is pretty good at ballroom dancing 💃 🕺


🏄‍♀️ 🏄‍♂️ We both love Stand Up Paddling and surfing. 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♂️

🚐 KarenVelle is a Volkswagen Caravelle from 1998. She is small enough to be registered as a normal car, but big enough for housing Amanda and Jakob.
With boards and solar panels on the roof, warm wool and summer dresses in the cabin, KarenVelle will surely bring us to lots of adventurers.

We are at a place in our lifes where we want to experience the Workaway life and other cultures, before settling down. We want to work and learn about life, outside of our own country and routines

Amanda is creative and can be of service of cleaning and animal care. Also photography and manual work are preffered
