Hello :)

I’m Alice from England, but I am currently studying to be a doctor in Wales. I am looking to spend some time in the amazing outdoors and travelling this Summer. I have spent the last 5 years at Cardiff University and have taken every opportunity to travel whilst I have been here and have visited so many different places from Aberystwyth in rural Wales to Mérida in Mexico.

I did a Workaway last year during which I spent 3 weeks at a rural riding stables in Portugal where I helped with riding lessons for disabled children, helped with feeding and mucking out the horses and many other things. I absolutely loved this experience and got on so well with the family.
I have a younger brother and two younger sisters and have always enjoyed helping out with children. I also have two dogs at home and growing up absolutely loved anything to do with the outdoors and spent my weekends at school riding my family friends’ ponies and mucking out. My mum loved interior design and has an incredible garden so growing up I have been very hands on helping her with anything she needed.
I am passionate about the outdoors and would love to spend time working with and helping out with animals, in particular horses and dogs, but am also very keen to learn new skills and try different things. I am also a very active person and enjoy jogging and yoga and love to cook and try new foods.
I also have experience working in hospitals and mental health charities to support different individuals and before university worked at a nursery looking after young children.
I am a very hard-working person and love to help people in anyway I can.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have experience with young children from when I volunteered in a school nursery and growing up have always spent time looking after my younger siblings.
I spent 3 weeks in Vietnam trekking through the countryside and spent a week building a concrete road to help the village become more connected. I am a very hard worker and I am fit so would not shy away from any manual or outdoor labour.
I love and am passionate about animals and adore spending time looking after different types of animals. I am confident looking after dogs, small animals and horses but would love any opportunity to learn about caring for other types of farm animals too.
I enjoy cooking and yoga and whilst I am not an expert would enjoy teaching others what I know.
Through my studies I have spent time looking after very sick and vulnerable people in hospitals and in community settings in the UK and in Mexico as well. I am a very kind and nurturing person and bring these qualities to everything I do.
