Hello,
My name is Mara, I am 20 years old and from Germany.
After having graduated last year, I want to learn a lot about many different works, other countries and also about myself and what I enjoy doing or what I am good at. I am really curious about different cultures and looking forward to meeting many interesting people from all around the world while traveling.
I am not a professional but I have been enjoying gardening and sometimes helping my Dad build or repair something since I was little, I would love to learn more and I have been fascinated by tropical plants my whole life. Unfortunately, many plants that I am interested in do not grow in german climate.
I grew up with animals, my family had a dog, cats and a horse and I had rabbits and chickens. I even hatched and raised some of them when I was 13 years old, with a little help of course but I was the main Caretaker.
I enjoy climbing and would love to experience many adventurous activities on my journeys like for example Bungee jumping (which I already did in 2021).
On my first solo travel trip I have visited Thailand (where I did my diving license and fell in love with this way of immersing myself in the underwater world), the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. I‘m looking forward to future travels, probably to Central and South America, Africa, Canada, Iceland, Sri Lanka…

I graduated high school in Germany.
My native language is German, I also learned English for many years and Spanish and French for a few years at school, but I'm not fluent in Spanish and French. I am willing to learn more languages ​​and teach others who want to learn German.
I love gardening and I enjoy taking care of animals. I am also interested in craft work such as helping my father build a greenhouse and during an internship I learned about the work of a tree climber and carpenter and forged a Japanese kitchen knife (among my photos).
I was once a guide for blind people and went climbing with them and their children who are not blind.
