Hi,
wir sind Mareike und Marcel, 2 junge Bäckergesellen aus Deutschland.
Seit Juli 2021 sind wir zusammen mit unserem Kater Charlie auf einer längerfristigen Reise durch Europa.
Unterwegs sind wir mit unserem halb ausgebauten, seit kurzem nur noch sommertauglichen, Van.
Wir haben bereits viele verschiedene Erfahrungen mit workaway machen können (Gartenarbeit / gewerblicher Gemüseanbau / Kinderbetreuung / DIY Projekte mit Holz und Metall / Pflege und Betreuung von Hühnern, Eseln, Katzen, Hunden, Schafen, Pferden, Enten und Gänsen) und lernen gerne Neues dazu. Neben workaway und Reisen versuchen wir unsere Backkünste zu verbessern, indem wir in verschiedenen Bäckereien arbeiten.
Ich, Marcel, habe 2016 ein FSJ im Bereich Garten- und Landschaftsbau gemacht; hauptsächlich wurde ich für die Pflege und den Terrassenbau eingesetzt. Besonders interessiert bin ich an handwerklichen Projekten, aber auch das Kochen bereitet mir Freude.
Ich, Mareike, war nach meinem Abitur für ein Jahr in Kanada und spreche demnach fließend Englisch (mein Französisch ist leider ein wenig eingerostet). Vor unserer Reise hatte ich ca. 2 Jahre lang eine Reitbeteilugung und würde diesbezüglich meine Fähigkeiten sehr gerne verbessern und mehr über das natural horsemanship lernen. Zudem habe ich viele Jahre lang Judo gemacht (auch als Kindertrainerin), Klavier gespielt und Nachhilfeunterricht erteilt.
Wir lieben die Natur und gehen in unserer Freizeit gerne wandern (Charlie ist meistens mit dabei), spielen Gesellschaftsspiele, experimentieren beim Backen / Kochen und probieren stets etwas Neues.

Hi,
we're Mareike and Marcel, 2 young bakers from Germany.
Since July 2021 we are on long term travels through Europe, together with our cat Charlie.
We travel in our partly remodeled campervan, which, unfortunately, is not livable during winter any more.
We've already gained a lot of experience during our workaway stays (gardening / monetary vegetable planting / childcare / DIY projects with wood and metal / caretaking of chickens, donkeys, cats, dogs, sheep, horses, ducks and geese) and we'd like to learn new things.
Besides workaway and travelling, we'd love to improve our baking skills by working in different bakeries.
Me, Marcel, I did a social volunteering year in the profession garden- and landscape building, during which I mostly was responsible for general caretaking and terrace building. Moreover, I'm especially interested in craftsmanship, but I also love to cook.
Me, Mareike, I spent a year in Canada after my graduation and therefore my English is fluent (my French used to be better). Before our travels I did some horsemanship and riding for about 2 years and I'd really like to improve my knowledge there, especially concerning the natural horsemanship principal. Furthermore, I used to do Judo for several years (also as a coach for kids), played the piano and I've given private tutoring lessons.
We both love nature and enjoy going on hikes (Charlie usually has to come as well), play board games together, experiment in the kitchen and we continously try out something new.

Wir haben professionelle Backerfahrung, würden aber sehr gerne neue Rezepte und regionaltypische Gebäcke kennenlernen und erlernen.
Wir sind handwerklich begabt und können mit verschiedenen Geräten und Maschinen des Garten-, Holz- und Metallbaus selbstständig arbeiten.
Wir haben Erfahrung im Umgang mit und in der Pflege von verschiedenen Tieren.
Wir sind mittlerweile erprobte Kinderbetreuer und bieten dahingehend gerne unsere Unterstützung an.

We have professional baking skills, but we would like to learn new recipes and get to know about typical baked goods from your area.
We have certain skills in craftsmanship and are able to work independently with different tools and machines, concerning gardening, woodworks and metalworks.
