Hello fellow travelers, I am Firat. I have a bachelor's degree on International Relations and a postgraduate from MBA.
I work at a reputable company in Ankara, and weekends i am free. I am divorced with two kids (5 and 2 years old) and they sometimes stay at my place. I like cultural exchange programs and love to learn new things and l like practicing my English despite being practically fluent already. I also have a sociable cat and as I work during the day most of the week, I am glad to host people who are fond of cats to play with my cat during the day and do simple housekeeping tasks.
I can show you around the city , and all the best spots for food and leisure. I learned about workaway whilst travelling in Turkey this summer and met some fellow workawayers who later ended up staying with me for several weeks, I enjoyed the experience hosting some workawayers and it is something i look forward to doing again. At home in my spare time I love playing darts and spending time playing VR on my headset which you are welcome to join me in doing.
My place is spacious and tidy and you will be able to stay in a private room with a large double bed. The apartment also has a balcony and a nice view and fully fitted kitchen with modern appliances.
If you wish to explore a vibrant city filled with beautiful parks and green spaces as well as having a buzzing nightlife and excellent food culture, then I think you would definitely enjoy coming to Ankara.

I am happy to show workawayers around the city and they will have the opportunity to practice English or learn some Turkish as well as meeting new people and discovering new places. I also have lots of knowledge on Turkish history which I would be happy to share.

I am glad to host someone who is fond of cats to play with my cat during the day and do simple housekeeping tasks such as tidying up and helping in the kitchen with cooking basic meals on occasion.

There is lots of public transportation in the local area. My place is very central in the city so it is easy to get around if you wish to visit museums, parks and tourist hot spots.
