Before you start reading our profile be aware of the fact that we offer a fair exchange as it has been at the start of WAW. We are not paying our WAW .
We are Maria and Mathieu living in the beautiful Spanish country side for 25 years.
Our property is situated at a 10 minutes walk to the centre of Mora d'Ebre, a small country town.
After October 15 we need help with olive picking and preparing the garden for the winter .We prefer the help of a couple or two friends .
We live mainly independent regarding energy, water and food and our life is based on holistic principles.
We both spent a lot of time on developing an independent healthy life by using natural resources for energy (solar panels), our own water supply and growing our own organic food. We have started to find and plant authentic seeds.
We are looking for people down to earth, hands on, who love physical work, with a positive attitude towards life.
What is REALLY IMPORTANT is that we are developing a more and more sustainable life, living as green as possible and that the Workawayer is interested to live in such a system.
This means a responsible use and consumption of electricity and water, such as:
- Electricity off, when you are not there
- Water from taps and shower as short as possible
- When washing, always taking care that there is full machine.
- No waist of food and energy
The creative part like decorating, painting and writing is Maria, Mathieu is in his creative flow when he is outside gardening and in the kitchen baking and cooking.
One meal a day we share together with nice conversations and discussions. The other meals everyone takes care of him/herself.

Travelers will benefit from the exchange because of the fact that they stay in an environment of giving and sharing. This is the opposite of the present society, which is based on taking and getting. For young people it is evident to experience a beneficial system for both sides.
From the property you can walk to the centre of the village or go on a tour or hiking into the mountains.

Loving animals and nature is important, as we have dogs, cats, chickens and live in a natural environment. A well educated person, with a good sense of humor, without severe life problems, who contributes to a positive atmosphere is important for us.

The Workawayer must be disciplined to do his daily duties in an independent cheerful way.
Regarding food: it is "a must" that the person loves healthy natural food with a variety of different cultures and vegetarian dishes. We do not invite workawayers who are vegan.
People with innovative ideas, practical experience to improve the way of living and who are able to implement these ideas.
Daily 5 hours from Monday to Friday.
No-smoking, moderate alcohol, no drugs, no medication.
We provide accommodation, with a good atmosphere and this needs a contribution.
We look for responsible people who love to help building our property with us to a high quality level. Speaking proper English is important.

Our WAW will have their own bedroom and bathroom and they will stay in the same house as the host. On the property also are living two families both of them in their own accomodation.
One family lives in the cottage and the other in an apartment .They all have own gardens and entrances to their homes and terasses.

We live just outside medieval Mora d'Ebre with it's ruins of a Templar's castle . Our property is situated in a huge valley with fruit trees and surrounded by mountains. The property is connected to the grid. The closest train station is in Mora la Nova .
Mora d'Ebre is a lovely little town with nice terrasses close to the river, and for shopping at a walking distance of 10 minutes.

Barcelona is 2 hours away by train. Closest airport is Reus, and further away Barcelona.

I had a wonderful experience in Miravet with Mateo and Maria. They are super nice people who make sure that they run a quality home and that you are comfortable staying with them. Great conversations, great food, great views and just great people. I fully recommend staying with them.

Miravet is magical place. Very silent but full of Power.
