Probably the most chill and most fun Workaway ever.
We have a toddler and an organic ecofarm, but your only official responsibility is enjoying life and contributing good vibes. And most of your own food.
Ziggy (the toddler) is highly social and will probably make you into a fast friend. And you can certainly help with projects on the ecofarm if you would like. But if you just wanna decompress in a hammock the whole time, then do that! You're sure to love the river and the butterfly garden.
What else?
* We strongly prefer that volunteers stay for at least one week.
* Volunteers stay in screened-in cabins that are scattered around the farm, which is adjacent to two creeks.
* You're responsible for providing and cooking your own food, but we aim to make that feel totally painless. We provide basic supplies like spices, plus direct support to procure your desired food items. The nearby shop makes the day you arrive pretty easy, so you're not juggling luggage and groceries simultaneously 🙏
* The farm has a dedicated internet line that is fast and reliable. (Your host works remotely full time with zero issues.)
* The cabins do not have electricity but volunteers can access a power supply at the main house.
Special note: This is a working ecofarm. While we love getting to know our volunteers and often share meals, campfires, and adventures together, there are also periods when Allie (your host) is more busy than she'd prefer with managing the farm, hosting or co-hosting retreats, building AI tools for the retreat industry, and single parenting. Volunteers who are independent, proactive, and enjoy immersing themselves in farm life tend to thrive the most here. An interest in supporting amazing retreat experiences for women & children is a major plus!
We are off the grid but close to the main road with easy access to the bus and busito. (Let us know if 0.5 miles with your luggage configuration feels impossible, and we'll send a wheelbarrow!) The ecofarm is 8 miles from the capital city of Belmopan and 40 miles west of Belize City. The nearest farmers' market is in the next village (Cotton Tree).
Please bring a headlamp to make your life easier after dark. If you want to help on the farm, please bring work clothes accordingly. -

We have a dedicated internet line that is extremely reliable and fast. (Your host works online full time with zero issues.) The cabins do not have a power supply, so having a powerbank that you can use at your cabin after hours (if you like to work at night) would be helpful.
