Hi there workawayers, my name is Demelza.
A bit about us...we are a family of four living near Kaitaia in the Far North. We have a 17-acre block with 6 acres in the process of replanting with native trees which requires ongoing maintenance such as weed control and some fencing repairs as well as tree planting. Some household repairs and DIY/painting are going on as well as a shed-building project and gardening tasks. Any DIY experience would be useful because I plan to re-do one of our bathrooms in the near future. Help with cooking meals would be much appreciated. There are many attractions in the Far North with the west coast being a ten-minute drive away and many east and west coast beaches to explore nearby. You are welcome to stay for a couple of weeks either in the house or in a tent/campervan if you prefer. We have two horses, dogs and cats.

You could be a part of our family for a short time. We can tell you about what to do in the area. We are close to town and the beach. You can learn about a native tree planting project by participating and also about the animals. We do pest control and have lots of gardens. We have kayaks, bikes and other outdoor equipment available for recreation. There are native bush and beaches nearby.

We have one small bedroom available in the house. Over the summer we have tents available for accommodation if you prefer. We have a very sheltered area for camping near the house with bathroom facilities inside.
We are a hardworking family of 4 and believe in fair treatment, honesty and having a laugh. There is plenty to do in and around this area and we will try to accommodate any needs you have.
