Jean was my first Workaway host and it was my the best experience of Workaway idea so far. Jean is really fantastic person - smart, funny well organized and interesting as well. I was doing some gardening at his house in Bretagne. It's really lovely place, the house is facing the sea and his boat is right next to the house. It was fun helping him
… read more with gardening - trimming trees, hedges and getting rid of brambles :) I've learned quite a few things on the way, but it was also great cultural exchange as we would have interesting talks over the dinners and joke and laugh a lot while working. I really loved how organized he is and that made work so much easier. And of couse.. we went sailing afterwards.. it was really beautiful, since I'm passionate about sailing it was good chance for me to see what sailing in Bretagne looks like. I haven't visited him yet in his place in Poutu, but I believe it must be nice place too and it's always pleasure to meet and work with people like Jean. Until the next one.

I was fortunate enough to spend three wonderful weeks with Jean Thomas at both his homes in Poitou and in Morbihan. He was a very thoughtful, kind, and humorous host, and was always ready to help me explore these two unique and beautiful environments, which was an unforgettable experience for me. It has been a wonderful experience to meet and spend time with Marie-Jeanne. She is always in good humor and ready to help. She has endeavoured to repaint shutters. She did this with great care, and she made a point of getting the job completely done before she left. Menwhile we did other activities too. As a sailor she defenately has the knack

Jean and Barbara were welcoming as soon as I arrived. They are wonderful. We had a great time together at their beautiful house at the sea. I painted the windows. We went on sailing trip as soon we had the opportunity, was amazing ! I really appreciate this familly and recomend to all workawayers with huge confidence.

Jean is a wonderful, warmhearted and joyful person and we had a great time together at his beautiful house at the sea and on his boat. First we spent a few days working at his workshop ( cooking natural colors and painting the windows) and then we went on a sailing trip together. Both was so much fun.
