Gina was an excellent guest, so respectful with the animals, the house and all people. We enjoyed having her a lot and it is a shame, that it was only two weeks. Gina prepared real good vegetarian dishes, did all chores perfect and always had a smile on her face. Please come back at any time!

I had the best time in the two weeks I stayed with Mirjana and Björn! They made me feel so comfortable right from the start, and always made sure I had everything I needed.

I stayed with Mirjana & Bjorn for more than a month. It was my first workaway experience and i didn't know what to expect but they were very welcome and made me feel safe in their house. :)
They were very generous and i had a lot of free time to explore berlin and travel the area.

They were very patient with me (even with my cooking experiments ) and i learned a lot about german culture and mentality, we a had a good exchange.
Ciaran was super nice with me and i was helped if i needed anything.
The tasks are nothing too hard, just general maintenance of the house and taking care of the dogs.
Dino is a very friendly puppy (almost as big as me haha) and i loved playing with him in the garden. :) he followed me everywhere and we spent a lot of time together :)
Also the area is a very calm village sourrounded by woods.
I really appreciated the nature all around, and i really benefited from the walks in the forest and playing with the dogs.
It's a beautiful place, perfect for someone who wants to get away from the noise of the city and immerse in the calm of the forest :)

Francesco was with us for nearly three month. We had Llots of fun together and learned a lot about the Italian traditions and cusine.
Francesco did a good job in taking care of the animals and taking care of the house. Otherwise we had great discussions about Football and other sports. He is always wellcome back!

… read more is too noisy😅. The family enjoyed my cooking experiments very much:). Unfortunately they work a lot and during my staying in winter we could not do too much because of the weather. I imagine that the spring and summer time must be the top with them. Mirjana and Bjorn were so helpful, guiding me through everything — from getting registered to understanding everyday life in Germany. They made my transition into this new chapter so smooth, and I’ll always be thankful for that.
The tasks were straightforward and enjoyable. I helped with cleaning the kitchen and living area in the mornings, prepared dinner, and took their two lovely dogs, Heidra and Ellie, for walks twice a day. They were flexible with the schedule, making it easy for me to adjust. I felt like I was part of the family, as if they were my older brother and sister, which made the experience even more special.
What I loved most were our family-like meals together — dinner every evening and breakfast on weekends. Heidra and Ellie were such sweet dogs, and spending time with them helped ease the homesickness I felt for my own dog back home.
Even though this review comes a bit late, the wonderful memories I have of my time with Mirjana and Bjorn remain just as vivid and meaningful. They were exceptional hosts, and I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a welcoming and supportive Workaway experience!
The experience with Helena was amazing! She is a kind and responsible and always respectful person and we enjoyed her two and a half month stay every second. One of the highlights was the easy access to Berlin. You can hop on a bike or take a short bus ride to the train station, and in no time, you're in the heart of the city. It’s the best of both worlds—peaceful nature at home, and vibrant city life just a short trip away.
The tasks were varied and flexible, giving me the freedom to contribute in different ways depending on the day. I also loved that we exchanged culinary experiences—cooking together was such a fun and enriching part of the stay.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my time. If you’re looking for a blend of comfort, nature, and culture, this is the perfect Workaway for you!

… read more didn't feel like I was working, it felts like we helped each other. They helped me with the German bureaucracy and getting a job here and my English improved incredibly with them. I could also eat and drink whatever I wanted and the room I stayed in was beautiful.
When they had free time they also cooked for me or we made cocktails or a bonfire or we went to the lake for a boat ride. They are really very nice people and they rock.
Months after I left their house, they came to my birthday to toast and brought me lots of gifts (for real). So if you are traveling alone this is perhaps an opportunity to make good friends (and If you like heavy Metal, you will definitely have things to do together outside).
The place is really quiet located in a super green area and it was not at all complicated to go out on weekends to Berlin or whenever I needed to.
I am still happy and grateful that I came to this work away and not to another one. It was the best way to land in Germany. I also met other workaweyers there with whom I am still in contact. I was also introduced to close friends from the neighborhood. (If you are thinking about going, you can also ask me any questions).

Those two girls are really fun to have around! While Abi has a real good hand with plants, Kezia did cook really great meals. Overall they were reliable and did take care of the animals with lots of love. We will miss them alot and hope to meet them again. Miss u two!

They put on a bonfire for us and we made cocktails one night, and they also took us to a local bonfire for Easter where we had bratwurst (they love bonfires!). Mirjana looked after some baby squirrels that had fallen from their nests and we got to help which was the cutest thing we've ever done. We really came to think of it a as a home away from home and were going to miss the lovely walks in the woods and movies in the evening! They are both happy to let you have your freedom but also enjoying sharing time with you, and love to see what food you can make from your culture. I had such an unforgettable Christmas and New year where we did bon fire, had lots of drinks, super yummy food and I even made friends with the neighbours as well! They were super accommodating and adventurous when it comes to trying all the food that I cooked. My task was to take turns to cook dinner, do simple house chores and accompany the 2 most lovable dogs(Elli and Hedra),a cute parrot(Rico), tortoises and lots of ornamental fishes!
Bicycle will be provided if you need to get to the nearest train station which is about 12 minutes ride, otherwise there is also a bus to the train station and the walk would be about 15 minutes. It will take you roughly 50 minutes to get to the city by train.
You will get your own huge bedroom with a nice greenery because there’s a huge garden at the back of the house. You will get to walk the dogs in the woods which has super refreshing air.
I am really thankful that I met them and we have now became friends. I will definitely try to come back again, hopefully summer the next time so that we could go stand up paddling, camping and maybe wakeboarding too!
