Descrição
Having a big, friendly, open house with separate guest room and own bath. The kids are grown up by now but check in from time to time.
It is a quiet living area but only 10min on the bicycle from Friedrichshain/Kreuzberg humming life away.
So, you can pile out in your free time and explore the greats of Berlin.
I do have a schedule on working days you'll have to align to, please.
Most time I work from my house where I have some extra office space in the basement next to the guest room.

One important thing - I do not like lazy people who try to take advantage of others. So, if you are one of these - just do not write to me and waste my time reading your message...

I am a musician as well and got some guitars, bass, cajon, piano in my house. So we can make some music together or show each other one or the other thing on instruments.
If you want to improve your german or english with me - fine.
If you can teach me some spanish and Salsa - great !

You should DEFENITELY have these skills:

*️️️ Spring to autumn times - Building :
- The old garden house needs some fixing to make it inhabitable again. Bricklaying, concrete making for foundations, woodwork, all solid construction site skills are welcome
- Optoinal design and weld+mount a stainless steel reeling for the entrance stairs

You should have these skills (optional):

*️️️ Gardening:
- Some small stuff to do (getting rid of weed, lawn mowing).
- Convert some Euro Palettes into garden furniture.

Guest room with double bed in the basement with own bathroom or you can stay in the garden house once it is fixed.
I can lend you one bicycle or two.

There is a bus stop in front of the house and just 10mins walking distance to Berlin-Karlshorst S-Bahn station.
If you like running - there are woods close by for practice.
A lake to go for a swim is approx. 10mins on the bicycle away.
Next beach volleyball place is just around the corner and so is the next supermarket just 4mins walking.

I do have a strict No drugs and No smoking policy in my house but a good glas of beer or wine is no problem at all ;o).

Kenya is a warm hearted and nice person. I feel very sorry I had not much time for her but I was in the middle of projects and preparing for a 5 weeks travel at the same time.

She is all friendly, warm hearted, reliable and communicative. And she is definitely not that type of person who looks away if there is something what needs to get done and I would always host her again at any time.

Thomas was a generous and gracious host. We were in Berlin for one day in passing and he kindly offered us a place to sleep for the night. The work was quite straightforward and enjoyable. Would recommend Thomas to any Workawayer staying in Berlin.

editing videos for my youtube channel. She ended up staying for almost a month,
given lockdown in Berlin. She is very friendly and outgoing, definitely a good

Dai arrived at my house after being trapped in Thailand for five months because of Covid-19.
She was supposed to stay and help for 1-2 weeks but it became like two and a half months finally.

We had nice tea times talking about life, the universe and everything (42 ;o), so I could learn a lot about Hong Kong and what is going on there at the moment.
