My first Workaway and a stellar experience! Victor and Dori gave me a clear schedule for the 2 weeks I was there.
Lis and Kai are great kids, Lis taught me some choreographies and dance and Kai loves anything football related.
Great Spanish and home cooked meals were always available.
Highly recommend!!!

Giulia has been 1 month in our host. She has been hard-working, respectful and has more than fulfilled what we expected of her. Her relationship with the children has been fantastic and she has integrated perfectly with the entire family. On some occasions we changed the work plan and Giulia had no problem being flexible.

I cannot say enough great things about this family! If you can stay with Dori, Victor, Lis, y Kai I highly recommend it. From the moment I arrived they treated me like family and during my 10 day stay I truly felt like a part of their family. The hours are very fair and come with lots of down time and delicious home-cooked meals by Victor and
… read more Dori. During one of the days I was there, they had a BBQ and I enjoyed meeting their friends and staying up late chatting with everyone. The kids, Kai and Lis, are great and the responsibilities are mostly just playing with them in English to help expose them to native English speakers so we got to make up all kinds of fun games together. The town itself, Torrejon de Ardoz, has a beautiful walking path with a view of the mountains and hills which I enjoyed exploring in the mornings while Lis and Kai were at school. Madrid city center is around 30-40 minutes away by local train and super easy to get to from their local train station, Soto de Henares. I spend one week at Victor's and Dori's home and I felt really welcomed there. They are really friendly and laid back people and I felt like home there! The kids Lis and Kai are fun and super active and I had fun playing and goofing around with them🤗
They made very yummy food and I cooked one dish of my country too. Thank you for everything🙏🏼

I had an amazing time with the Family. From the beginning I was a family member and I felt really comfortable. I played with the kids like drawing, catching, hiding or we had read books together. … read more in Madrid recently! Victor speaks good English and my help mostly consisted of spending time with him helping him improve. Not hard work at all and he was such a good host too, showing me all the local sites and making me feel part of his life. His girlfriend Dory is also a sweetheart and his father Jose is one of the funniest people I have ever met. I would recommend that you be able to speak some Spanish to really ingratiate yourself here because Victor's parents don't speak any English.
