We are a family of two. Me 49 son and my father 85, recently widowed. I run my own business from my home (my office is located inside my home), so I am used to spend just little time away from home. My father is self-sufficient in his day-to-day life, has no need of help to do any of his daily things.
We live in Umbria, a very interesting tourist area. It offers many attractions visited from tourists coming from all over the world. Assisi is just 15km away from my home. Our countryside can compete in beauty with the Tuscany's. The weather is mild even in winter. Umbria is situated at heart of Italy, so it offers good connections to North or South. Rome is a couple of hours away by train. The same Florence.
The volunteer will have the chance to learn Italian quickly.

Ajuda
I am NOT looking for somebody providing elderly care or making any household works. I just need a woman offering companionship to my father when I'll be away. That means few hours a week.
My father has no need of help to do any of his daily things. He just needs a bit companionship to talk, he lost his wife (my mom) recently, and so he is very sad now.
I would offer in exchange food and accommodation. We have a cook preparing very tasty meals for us.
Also I'll offer my help for the volunteer to learn Italian language and lifestyle, including cooking etc... and hopefully we'll have a profitable cultural exchange.
