  Hello, my name is Nídia (Portuguese, 44 years old)
  I have a holistic farm and an old equestrian center near Vila do Bispo, in the Algarve; I live with horses, dogs, cats, pigs, geese and a donkey, all free and happy.
  
  My goal is to transform the farm into a place where people can find their inner peace through silence, manual work, harmony and connection with nature, in order to allow a deep self-healing process.
  At this moment, the farm's greatest needs are daily maintenance for the operation of the space and care for the animals, as well as deep general cleaning and maintenance of existing structures and preparation for the construction of new structures.
  
  The farm has 1 hectare, a lake and a deactivated organic vegetable garden - waiting to be activated. The land is quite well isolated, in an open and beautiful landscape, 2 km from the north coast, the south coast and the village: wind, silence, wildlife are what characterize this farm.
  
  I am completely off the grid: there is no public water and we are located in a territory where this resource is scarce, so it is FUNDAMENTAL to save it and be aware of its use - when necessary, volunteers are responsible for purchasing drinking water.
  
  WORK NEEDED FOR THE SEASON
  Deep cleaning - in 3 houses; 1 house (Workshop) necessary to reorganize existing tools and remove those that are no longer used.
  2 house (warehouse) reuse of construction material and cleaning of the space
  3 House (Main house) - cleaning of the outdoor space, reconstruction of some structures that support it (dry bathroom) and maintenance of the garden space.
  
  
  FOOD AND WORKING HOURS
  As we cannot provide food, at the moment, we ask to work for 3 hours/day, 5 days/week. I need to be flexible with daily work hours in the rare case that I need to leave the farm for a few days - I am also flexible with volunteer needs. I ONLY ACCEPT VOLUNTEERS WHO STAY AT LEAST 3 WEEKS.
  
  ACCOMMODATION CONDITIONS
  I provide tents and there are two caravans available, with sheets, bed linen and towels; sleeping bags if necessary. If the volunteer has their own accommodation and bedding, it would be appreciated and there is space for both forms of accommodation.
  There is a structure for common use purposes, such as: electricity (use of solar panel energy), common outdoor kitchen, dry bathroom and improvised outdoor shower.
  IT IS NECESSARY TO KEEP THIS SPACE TIDY AND CLEAN.
  These facilities are located in the opposite corner of the main house where I live, so everyone can enjoy their privacy, yours and mine!
  I don't have time to have a meal together, and I ask people to respect the privacy of my home.
  
  We suggest the arrival of adult people (regardless of age): it means being independent, self-sufficient, well organized, emotionally balanced, with a high level of consciousness (with a natural attitude to take care of any space, to be respectful of all living beings, being aware that we are all connected).
  
  This farm is not a place where volunteers can have parties, it is a different, more intimate space where silence is appreciated.

  Olá, chamo-me Nídia (portuguesa, 44 anos)
  Tenho uma quinta holística e um antigo centro equestre perto de Vila do Bispo, no Algarve; vivo com cavalos, cães, gatos, porcos, gansos e uma burra, todos à solta e felizes.
  
  O meu objetivo é transformar a quinta num local onde as pessoas possam encontrar a sua paz interior através do silêncio, do trabalho manual, da harmonia e da ligação com a natureza, de forma a permitir um processo de auto-cura profundo.
  Neste momento as necessidades maiores da quinta são manutenções diárias para o funcionamento do espaço e cuidado a ter com os animais, bem como uma limpeza geral profunda e manutenção das estruturas existentes e preparação para a construção de novas estruturas.
  
  A quinta tem 1 hectare, um lago e uma horta biológica desativada - à espera de ativação. O terreno está bastante bem isolado, numa paisagem aberta e bonita, a 2 km da costa norte, da costa sul e da aldeia: vento, silêncio, vida selvagem é o que caracteriza está quinta.
  
  Estou completamente fora da rede: não há água publica e estamos inseridos num território escassez deste recurso, por isso é FUNDAMENTAL poupá-la e ter uma consciência do seu uso -quando necessário, os voluntários são encarregados da compra de água potável.
  
  TRABALHO NECESSÁRIO PARA A TEMPORADA
  Limpeza profunda - em 3 casas; 1 casa (Oficina) necessário reorganizar as ferramentas existentes e retirar as que já não são utilizadas.
  2 casa (armazém) reaproveitamento de material de construção e limpeza do espaço.
  3 Casa (Casa principal) - limpeza de espaço exterior, reconstrução de algumas estruturas que dão suporte à mesma (casa de banho seca) e manutenção do espaço da horta.
  
  
  COMIDA E HORAS DE TRABALHO
  Como não podemos fornecer comida, de momento, pedimos para trabalhar durante 3 horas/ dia, 5 dias/semana. É necessário ser flexível com o horário de trabalho diário no caso raro de eu precisar de sair da quinta por alguns dias - também sou flexível quanto às necessidade do voluntário. SÓ ACEITO VOLUNTÁRIOS QUE FIQUEM NO MÍNIMO 3 SEMANAS.
  
  CONDIÇÕES DE ALOJAMENTO
  Disponibilizo tendas e existe duas caravanas disponíveis, com lençois, roupa de cama e toalha; sacos de cama, se necessario. Sendo que se o voluntário tiver o seu próprio alojamento e roupa de cama será apreciado e existe espaço para ambas as formas de alojamento.
  Existe estrutura para fins de uso comum, tais como: eletricidade (uso de energia de painel solar), cozinha exterior comum, casa de banho seca e duche ao ar livre improvisado.
  É NECESSÁRIO MANTER ESTE ESPAÇO ARRUMADO E LIMPO.
  Estas instalações estão situadas no canto oposto da casa principal onde eu vivo, para que todos possam desfrutar da sua privacidade, da vossa e da minha!
  Não tenho tempo para fazer uma refeição em conjunto, e peço às pessoas que respeitem a privacidade da minha casa.
  
  Sugerimos a vinda de pessoas adultas (independentemente da idade): significa ser independente, autosuficiente, bem organizado, emocionalmente equilibrado, com um elevado nível de consciência (com uma atitude natural para cuidar de qualquer espaço, para ser respeitoso com todos os seres vivos, tendo consciência de que estamos todos ligados).
  
  Esta quinta não é um sítio onde os voluntários possam fazer festas, é um espaço diferente, mais íntimo e onde o silêncio é apreciado.

  pets are welcome if they are well educated since other animals are free-ranging into the farm (don't bark too much, don't attack the gees, don't run after the horses, don't be aggressive to the cats and dogs). Also, the owner should clean diary the metabolic rest of his/her pet.
