Welcome on the website to our little piece of paradise in Portugal. We are Dee(69)and Patrick(59) an english belgium couple and our dog Diesel. We live already for more than 18 years in portugal and are living in a house in the countryside, surrounded by mountains, where the next neighbours are far. We eat no meat and try to live as far as we can in an ecological way.
If you feel like staying for a while in a place which is quite remote and where life is very slow (especially in the summer, when its hot) but you dont want to miss the comforts of modern life, then you are in the right place here.
We are living in the most beautifull place with astonishing views but unfortunately we are not getting younger and could need some help to do the daily work in the garden and around the house. We can
what we can offer is:
-you would stay in your own "appartement", which is the ground floor of our house (we stay in the first floor)
-food will be provided, but maybe we can share the cooking
-hot shower, washingmachine, internet and full kitchen ;)
-we only need a couple of hours of help in a day, possibly not even every day. so there will be plenty of time to enjoy nature, explore the region with its many old roman bridges and schist villages or beautifull riverbeaches.
It would be great if some of you people out there will come to visit us out here in "mountains" of portugal.

we have a lot of knowledge about plants and gardening and are happy to share our knowledge and experience.
Ajuda
we are looking for people to help us with house and garden. most of the work is about simple everyday tasks, to keep our house and garden as beautiful as it is.
The tasks we need help with most are gardening work on our 1 hectar big land, watering, tree pruning, planting and weeding (very therapeutic for many people)

Closeby in secarias (15minutes by foot) we have a nice riverbeach where you can swimm and enjoy the peace of nature.
The closest Village with shops, bank, local market and public transports is Arganil (10minutes by car).
There is a lot of possibilities to take nice walks in the area around our property.
The area is famous for the old schist houses, olive and vine yards and the nice rivers and waterfalls, like for example Coja Benfeita and many more villages.
Also really nice is to go to the Serra Estrelas for a daytrip of nice portuguese mountainside.

I had the opportunity to stay with them for three weeks and also celebrate my birthday before leaving and if I had more time I would have stayed another three weeks, if not forever 🤣

I had a great time, I only stayed for one week and if it had been possible I would have loved to stay longer.
