  Hi, I’m Tario!
  
  Join our small international project in the Spanish countryside, where we are slowly creating a sustainable and self-sufficient eco-village. We focus on restoring traditional rural buildings, reusing materials, and developing a vegetable garden that will eventually support the community.
  
  The Finca has some old spanish houses, which we are currently working hard to transform into rooms for workawayers. We already have some rooms ready, but need your help to keep expanding the project. We need to create some more common spaces four the community like a common kitchen, vegetable garden, outdoor shower area, laundry room, caravan parking spacing, etc. So there's much work to do!
  
  Since we are at the early stages of the project, that means you will enjoy a high level of autonomy. We can provide accomodation (we have individual rooms and shared rooms available), we have a common kitchen area and and individual bathrooms. We also have a laundry area and are working to create a common shower area (for outdoor campers in the future). We are not strict with schedules and can offer flexible working hours and working days. Just communicate your needs clearly with us.
  
  We are located near El Estrecho de Fuente Álamo in the Murcia region of southeast Spain. The property has direct access to the highway, making it easy to reach Cartagena, Murcia city, and the Mediterranean coast. Although we are in the countryside, we are very well connected. One of our local volunteers currently has a car and can occasionally help with trips to town. However, it is highly recommended that you bring your own car so you can move around independently and comfortably.
  
  Pets are welcome. Some volunteers have brought their own animals, and currently we have small dogs and a few cats living on the land.

  We have spanish volunteers running the finca at the moment (I will be back mid June 2026), until then you can help us setting things towards the summer. During this time you will benefit from a Spanish speaking environment, independent working hours, a calm envirnoment to work remotely (we have WIFI) and an oportunty to build a community together.

  Ajuda

  At this early stage of the project, our main focus is on developing and improving the shared infrastructure of the finca. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy practical, hands-on work and can contribute ideas as the space evolves.
  
  Current projects include gardening and starting the vegetable garden, construction and improvement of common areas (including the communal kitchen), fencing parts of the property, and setting up creative workshop spaces for furniture refurbishment, all of which involve recycling and reusing materials.
  
  Right now, the priority is creating functional and welcoming common spaces and making the best use of the existing facilities. If you enjoy building, organizing, fixing, or creatively improving spaces, you will likely feel very at home here.
  
  *IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER*: Workawayers will NOT be asked to help with any business-related activities, with paying guests or visitors, or in spaces used by them. All activities are purely related to cultural exchange and personal projects within our private property.

  All languages welcome. We have Spanish volunteers in the property, so we offer a good oportunity for you to learn Spanish. English can be used for basic communication.

  Acomodação

  There are different types of accomodation available. We have single rooms, double rooms, some caravans and some stand-alone units with kitchen and bathroom. Please contact for availability.

  Please note that the finca is located in a rural area and public transport access is limited. Connections to nearby cities do exist, but they are not very frequent or convenient, so having your own car is highly recommended. We have plenty of parking space on the property.
  
  If you do not have your own vehicle, we do have someone on the finca who can drive and tries to help out with lifts to town or practical needs. To drive their car, you would need a valid driving license and the appropriate documentation to drive legally in Spain (especially if you are from abroad). This can always be discussed in advance.

  We welcome campers, vans, and motorhomes. We are currently making some spaces available and we can provide water, but electricity is limited at the moment (we are saving to install solar panels, hopefuly in the summer. Help with this very welcomed!)

  Pets are very welcome, as long as they are friendly and well-socialized, since there may be pets belonging to other volunteers. In the future, we are considering adding farm animals (such as chickens, and possibly even donkeys), so we appreciate animal lovers who want to help prepare the facilities and spaces for these animals.
