We live in a restored village house near Ortigueira, northern Galicia. Our interests are in Old town house restoration, gardening, cycling, music, sailing and rural selfsustainable living.
We have ongoing projects in all categories and always need help with them.
We are also frequently away from this beautiful home and offer our house for those periods to house sitters willing to care for the house, garden and our resident cat Loretta.

We are looking for some people to come and help in the garden, with house sitting and some work projects on our two old town houses at the beginning of their transformation.
We travel quite a bit and if you are interested in Galicia we are always worth contacting to see what’s happening here.
Moving into Autumn and Winter we have a couple of trips planned and need a house sitter and help during the whole season.
We are constantly developing the garden through a series of small sustainable green projects.
Some help in the garden would be great. Possibly a small team, compost making, outdoor bathroom, poly tunnel and growing beds, hedging and tree planting. It’s also time to pick apples!
We are a musical household and love having musicians around. Generally there is always something going on.
I would like to do some decorating in the house also. Soft furnishings and woodwork.

Village house. Woodfired heating. Full Kitchen and Bath. Gardens. Dome in the orchard.
You will have your own bedroom.
We are close to public transport: buses and Ponte Mera Station.
We have no internet so advise our guests to load up on data. We do get a signal although downstairs in the stone house can be a little shaky.

Ortigueira is a seaside town in Galicia in northwestern Spain. It is located on the northern slope of the Serra da Faladoira, the river Mera and on the eastern shore of the Ria de Santa Marta—a winding, rock-bound and much indented inlet of the Bay of Biscay, between Capes Ortegal and Bares, the northernmost headlands of the Iberian Peninsula. The town is noted for its romantic surroundings and sea bathing opportunities.
