  The Foundation, created in 1931 in Bolivia, has been helping Bolivian communities for decades, developing programs in the fields of Education and Culture, Pediatric Health and Agroecology.
  Our HQ is located in Cochabamba, Bolivia, but we develop projects also in La Paz, El Alto, Santa Cruz, Potosí, Coroico.
  Despite huge efforts of public institutions to create better educational and health systems, and to provide free access to safe food to all Bolivian population, the inequalities of access persist, and deepen when differentiated by region, ethnic origin, and socioeconomic level. That is why the Foundation is one of the best organizations to promote individual and collective development of the Bolivian population, for the construction of a better life.

  Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado

  Bolivia is one of the most interesting countries in Latin America, yet one of the least known. With more than 50% of indigenous population, the country is a unique mix of cultures, traditions, and languages: Bolivian culture has been defined by its interesting geographical layout, the predominant indigenous population and the miscegenation of its ancestral traditions with the European cultural elements that were imported during the period of Spanish colonialism. The amalgamation of all these elements has resulted in a rich and varied culture, that always offer new opportunities of learning.
  With a great tangible and intangible cultural heritage, Bolivia recognizes the multicultural, multiethnic and multilingual conformation of the Nation, and enshrines the principles of interculturality, inter-institutionality and social participation as pillars of the integrated conservation of Bolivia's cultural heritage.
  Moreover Bolivia offers a unique variety of geographical and climatic context, going from the high mountains areas (with cities above 4.000 m above sea level) to tropical forests, to the unique Uyuni Salar.

  Ajuda

  Currently the Foundation is implementing a new International Volunteer Program: the objective is to integrate volunteers from abroad, with different cultural and professional backgrounds, to interchange experiences with our national staff promoting an improvement and expansion of our activities, and with the goal of generating change for the Bolivian population. We wish to promote interchanges with our national staff, get fresh ideas and global perspectives for our organization.
  
  The missions will be in Cochabamba, La Paz or Santa Cruz, Bolivia and required a MINIMUM OF 4 MONTHS OF COMMITMENT!!! (if you cannot offer this time, please we encourage to not apply)
  
  The main profiles we need are:
  
  - EDUCATOR:
  1. General support of the educational activities of the Program (especially for children in peripheric neighborhoods), with a focus on educational innovation, STEAM projects, artistic-educational projects, etc.
  2. Develop new material and activities for interactive learning, with a special focus on children with learning difficulties.
  3. Possibility of developing holiday workshops for children, and workshops for adults.
  4. Develop small projects to improve the conditions of the centers (such as management of activity spaces, and especially libraries).
  
  
  - MARKETING AND PRODUCT DESIGN manager:
  1. Analysis of the Foundation marketing and product design existing strategy, and
  2. Develop a new marketing and production strategy for agroecological products coming from Foundation Haciendas.
  3. Training of Foundation’s staff about marketing, digital marketing and product design strategies and methodologies.
  4. Develop a communication strategy of good practices. Possible workshops with local producers.
  
  - PEDIATRIC DOCTOR/NURSE:
  1. Primary health care of common early childhood diseases (e.g. acute respiratory diseases and acute diarrheal infections, or according to the medical specialization of the professional).
  3. Activities OF health promotion and prevention with children and families of the neighborhoods (e.g. about basic practices of health / hygiene / personal and children care, malnutrition etc.).
  4. Training of national staff on innovative medical practices.

  Acomodação

  The Foundation always provide accommodation for the volunteers: a rented apartment with at least individual rooms, and shared areas as kitchen and bathroom. Costs for food are covered, nevertheless the volunteer oversees the purchase and preparation of its own food (to be known that also take-away food is available everywhere in the country at very affordable prices).
  Normally Bolivian houses are not equipped with heating systems, nevertheless electric heating devices are provided. Running water, electricity and cooking gas are always provided.

  In Bolivia there are plenty opportunities for travelling, both for people interested in nature, trekking and adventure trips, or for the ones who prefer to visit small villages and old cities. Gastronomic culture is highly considered in Bolivia, such as production of wines “de altura” (meaning vineyard locates above 2.000 msl).
  Cultural events and traditional festivities are always present in all country during all year.
