Idea and Vision
We have a biological nature project two hours from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Our land is 120 ha adjacent to the national park Serra do Cipo. The goal of this project is to protect precious nature and to create a space where people can reconnect with nature.
Who are we?
We are a group of German and Swiss families who founded and invest in this NPO project. We purchased the land, reforested and built some apartments here. We all visit regularly and some of us stay here during high and low season for a couple of weeks regularly.
What happens here?
Apart from reforestation and gardening we host spiritual groups of about 12-15 people during high season, who do hiking, meditation, yoga, Ayahuasca seminars. Moreover we have people who just love to be alone in nature and retreat from civilization.

Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado
This experience offers a profound connection with Brazil's wilderness and a chance for deep personal retreat. You will benefit by:
- Immersing in Nature: Live in direct contact with an extraordinary nature preserve. Learn about the local ecosystem, native plants, and the principles of sustainable agroforestry. Experience true solitude, with opportunities for multi-day hikes where you might not see another person.
- Cultural & Practical Skills: Engage in a genuine cultural exchange by learning basic Portuguese through daily interaction with our local kitchen team.
- Inner Peace & Consciousness: This secluded place is ideal for introspection, finding silence, and reconnecting with yourself. During certain periods, there is also the optional opportunity to participate in spiritual work, including guided Ayahuasca ceremonies (for an additional charge), for those looking to explore inner landscapes and expand their awareness.
Please note: We are remote. We offer a profound natural and spiritual sanctuary, not a social hub. There are no bars, shops, or restaurants nearby—this is the point. It's for those who seek what modern life often lacks: pristine nature, peace, and space for personal growth.
Ajuda
We are seeking practical and motivated volunteers for our main season from November to April. We have two distinct profiles we are looking to fill, so please apply if you fit one of the following:
1. The Bushland Warrior
This role is for those who aren’t afraid of physical work in the Brazilian bush.
Your Tasks: Clearing dense undergrowth with chainsaws and machetes, creating and maintaining pathways, and general land management.
We need you to: Be physically fit, comfortable using a chainsaw, and completely unfazed by spiders, snakes, and other wildlife common in this environment (don't worry, nothing has ever happened so far)
2. The Skilled Craftsman/Craftswoman
This role is for individuals with hands-on skills to help us preserve and improve our infrastructure.
Your Tasks: Renovation and maintenance work on our houses and the entire compound. We are specifically looking for experience in areas like roofing, carpentry, general construction, or handyman repairs.
We need you to: Have proven skills in your trade, be proactive, and have a good eye for detail.
General Requirements for All Volunteers:
- Minimum stay of 3 weeks.
- Work commitment: 20 hours per week in exchange for food and accommodation.
It's up to you how you arrange your weekly hours. You can work 4 hours for 5 days, or complete the 20 hours in 3-4 consecutive days to have a longer block of free time.
Please note that this is a seasonal position, only available from November to April, as our facility is largely closed outside this period.
If you are a motivated, reliable individual who fits one of these profiles and is ready for a hands-on experience, we would love to hear from you!

Acomodação
You will have your own room with a private bathroom (toilet and shower).
Meals: Breakfast and dinner are included. We also have fruit trees on our land, and you are welcome to pick any ripe fruit whenever you like.
Special Features:
- Natural Spring Water: Our property is blessed with its own natural water sources. The tap water is pure and drinkable, as is the water from the nearby creeks.
- Reliable Hot Water: Thanks to our solar-energy system, we have hot water available at all times.
A Note on Flexibility:
While our aim is to provide everyone with a private room, depending on the occupancy of our guest house, it may occasionally be necessary to share a room comfortable personal space. We will always communicate this transparently and in advance. Our priority is to ensure everyone has a comfortable personal space.
Algo mais...
Our place is off the main roads at the end of a valley, 5 kilometers from a small village called Altamira, about 45 minutes from the next highway. We are directly next to the national park Serra do Cipó. If you start to miss the city life, you can do weekend trips on your free days to Belo Horizonte (some 3 hours by bus) or to Ouro Preto, a small city which is a renowned UNESCO cultural heritage site, about a good three hours' car ride.
