We are Tess and Josh
We live in the middle of nature
We build wooden houses and natural accommodation in the forest from natural building materials.
Here you can enjoy absolute silence. No cars, no noise (as long as we're not working)
Josh: I've been living in nature for over 20 years,
Forest, nature and art is my motto. I am dedicated to woodworking and developing the land together with Tess. I run a sawmill and love crafting with natural materials.
Tess: as a photographer and horse trainer, I have settled here in Portugal and live in the woods with Josh and we are realizing our visions.
We want to bring young and old closer to nature. To learn to live with it.
You are welcome to come and enjoy the full nature in the heart of alentejo.

In this area you will get to know the quiet and serene life of the people of Altentejan. The rural location with its beautiful views makes it a wonderful place to calm down, enjoy nature and take in the view. A great place to meditate, start the day with a yoga exercise or simply hike through the mountains and enjoy the silence.

Ajuda
Our projects include woodwork. This can also include planning and implementing your own creative projects, which can either be used for the community or possibly taken home as a souvenir.
As we mostly use resources that nature gives freely, so to speak, this also includes collecting berries (medronho). Stones, cork and clay.
Another important part is gardening/land maintenance.
Creating new beds, caring for the plants and trees. Keeping the land fireproof and much more.
As a rule, you can decide for yourself what work you want to do and when you want to start.
You don't have to be a complete professional in these areas. A good mood and motivation are enough.

There are a variety of accommodation options. We have 8 sleeping places (motorhomes and converted campers), tent pitches and van parking.
Food... You won't go hungry here, good food is guaranteed.
How we cook depends on how many people are visiting.

We have parking areas for your van, camper or caravan, with electricity and water connection. You have access to the shared bathroom and the community kitchen (outside kitchen)

Josh is a very nice man and the woodwork here was suprisingly fun. Learned it all here, no previous experience but it wasn't too hard to learn.
stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, especially with the amazing panoramic view you have from the deck above the dinning area.
