UPDATE 2021: we're no longer in Rotterdam, we're in Haarlem (close to Amsterdam)

We are a non profit group that organizes group travels for a very mixed, international audience. The trips evolve around a central theme (mountains, wintersports or arts). Usually we are at some remote location. It's all about the group and enjoy the group dynamics. Participants tend to discover all kinds of things about themselves. It's always an unforgettable experience. Group size is usually between 7 and 14 people. People get out of their comfort zone and make meaningful experiences. The trips welcome all genders, backgrounds, sexual orientations, lifestyles, etc; they are body positive and there is no judgement.

Besides these trips, I organize weekends and one-day events based on the same principles.These are usually about human connection, mind-body connection, yoga, meditation, kink, consciousness, food etc.

We're in a quiet corner of Haarlem, yet at a short 5 minute walk from the historic city centre. Amsterdam is 15 mins by train. Haarlem has the biggest density of historical buildings of all Dutch cities. Vegan food is provided and please don't bring any dead animal parts or eggs into the house. If you're not vegan, this is your chance to discover how rich and delicious plant based food can be :) You have your own bed room, rather simple. The bathroom (with shower), toilet, kitchen and living/dining room are shared, as well as the garden. In the house clothing is optional. No smoking, no drugs.
Every now and then you'll join me in the office space that I share with some others in the city centre.
We're a m/f Dutch/Lithuanian couple; we both travel often so it might happen that there is only one of us. We have a very social cat - if you're allergic to cats or you don't really like them, this is not for you.

Hi Klaas! Sorry for making you wait so long for my feedback but, you know, I’m always sooo slow 😀

In November I spent two weeks at Klaas, Giedre and Hippie’s house in Haarlem and then moved to Switzerland two more weeks with Klaas; so basically my Workaway experience has lasted one month. During my stay in the Netherlands I had to help Klaas in… read more the online promotion of the events he organizes in Switzerland by looking for people to join them. I also helped him in picking adeguate pictures to post on social medias and looked for influencers in order to invite them to join and promote the camps. The time spent in the Netherlands has been really cool, I had my own bedroom and besides working I got to travel and see different Dutch cities that were easily reachable by train. Moreover Klaas and Giedre were very pleasing and welcoming and I really felt at home with them by sharing many international meals and nice chats together. During the second part of the experience I drove with Klaas to Switzerland and helped him in the logistics of the events. We’ve had to move to different parts of Switzerland and drove a lot but it was worth it since I got to see many wonderful places I hadn’t seen before. When we were in Switzerland we went to sooooo many supermarkets to do the shopping for the events and I had to join them and help Klaas to deal with people, cook, clean and prepare everything. We went to beautiful huts in the mountains, hiked, snowshoehiked and skied and shared these experiences with many interesting people coming from all over the world! I also helped Klaas in the logistics of the Kinky events. In general it’s been a hard, tiring but really satisfying experience! It has enriched me a lot, I’ve got to learn my boundaries as well as became more aware of my strenghts and much more confident. It has given me something that I didn’t have before. Klaas is a really unique person and without him this for sure wouldn’t have happened! Klaas is very ironic and lighthearted and at the same time very deep and thoughtful in the way he deals with life. He's very respectful, he’s opened up a lot with me and we've had very profound conversations together. He has a very philosophical approach, tries to find a meaning in everything and always tries to see the positive side of everything that happens to him. He's taught me very much about life and I can say that he’s been an example for me. I really learnt a lot through this experience, I could even say that’s been a life changing experience. I’m so grateful to Klaas, Giedre and Hippie and hope to see them again soon 😊

I spent almost 2 amazing weeks with Klaas. In the end of my staying I felt like we were just friends. Klaas is a very tolerant host. Almost no strict rules or demands. I helped Klaas with his web-site and I hope he was satisfied.
