Heather and Nick are great workawayers and great humans! Smart, mature, living life with ambition, flexibility and humor. They did great work for the promotion of the trips that I organise. They had very good ideas and really showed that they understand what the project is about. They overhauled the web site, made reels, wrote posts and had some
… read more additional great initiatives. Communication has been very easy with them. On top of that they consciously took excellent care of our house and our cat while we were traveling. Because of our trip, we spent only a couple of days together with Heather and Nick, but we felt very connected and we deeply appreciate them.

Klaas and Giedre were really really welcoming hosts, and went above and beyond to make us feel really comfortable and at home, and also feel very appreciated for our work. We helped take care of their cat named Hippie and did some SEO, making reels and website work for Klaas while they were on holiday. Klaas and Giedre have a really nice apartment

Each night they were home we would chat for hours after dinner with such fun and interesting conversation (and if you want more privacy they would be very accommodating for that as well). Arianna had the most intense time that a Workawayer ever had with me, because I had to pack a lot of events into a short time, because of the reality of the pandemic. This meant that Arianna not only stayed with us a couple of weeks in The Netherlands; we also traveled together to Switzerland where she assisted me in not less than 6

Arianna has great work ethics. With clear instructions she works hard and the events would not have succeeded how they did, if she would not have been there. It was hard, fatiguing work but she kept going, amazing. She had very nice interaction with the participants and everybody loved her. In our home in The Netherlands we got to know her as someone that wants to experience life and it was great to have her around. Food is important for her so we were so lucky that oftentimes she was cooking delicious meals for us :) Thank you with all my heart Arianna!

In November I spent two weeks at Klaas, Giedre and Hippie’s house in Haarlem and then moved to Switzerland two more weeks with Klaas; so basically my Workaway experience has lasted one month. During my stay in the Netherlands I had to help Klaas in
… read more the online promotion of the events he organizes in Switzerland by looking for people to join them. I also helped him in picking adeguate pictures to post on social medias and looked for influencers in order to invite them to join and promote the camps. The time spent in the Netherlands has been really cool, I had my own bedroom and besides working I got to travel and see different Dutch cities that were easily reachable by train. Moreover Klaas and Giedre were very pleasing and welcoming and I really felt at home with them by sharing many international meals and nice chats together. During the second part of the experience I drove with Klaas to Switzerland and helped him in the logistics of the events. We’ve had to move to different parts of Switzerland and drove a lot but it was worth it since I got to see many wonderful places I hadn’t seen before. When we were in Switzerland we went to sooooo many supermarkets to do the shopping for the events and I had to join them and help Klaas to deal with people, cook, clean and prepare everything. We went to beautiful huts in the mountains, hiked, snowshoehiked and skied and shared these experiences with many interesting people coming from all over the world! I also helped Klaas in the logistics of the Kinky events. In general it’s been a hard, tiring but really satisfying experience! It has enriched me a lot, I’ve got to learn my boundaries as well as became more aware of my strenghts and much more confident. It has given me something that I didn’t have before. Klaas is a really unique person and without him this for sure wouldn’t have happened! Klaas is very ironic and lighthearted and at the same time very deep and thoughtful in the way he deals with life. He's very respectful, he’s opened up a lot with me and we've had very profound conversations together. He has a very philosophical approach, tries to find a meaning in everything and always tries to see the positive side of everything that happens to him. He's taught me very much about life and I can say that he’s been an example for me. I really learnt a lot through this experience, I could even say that’s been a life changing experience. I’m so grateful to Klaas, Giedre and Hippie and hope to see them again soon 😊

Ilenia came as a Workawayer and left as a family member. She has an amazing energy and is very expressive. A very lovable person! And let's not forget that she did a great volunteering job (online promotion of our project). She takes perfect care of her environment and is very friendly, compassionate and interested. I spent almost 2 amazing weeks with Klaas. In the end of my staying I felt like we were just friends. Klaas is a very tolerant host. Almost no strict rules or demands. I helped Klaas with his web-site and I hope he was satisfied.

Max stayed two weeks with me in Rotterdam. It was a very good experience. On a personal level we had great conversations and relaxed times; on a work level Max did a great job; he easily understood what I was hoping to achieve and he did perfectly what was needed for that - and more.
