SEVERAL IMPORTANT POINTS THAT WE WOULD APPRECIATE BEFORE YOU WRITE TO US:
-We only accept 1 person at this time.
-This person must speak English, one of the priorities or "raison d'être" is linguistic, cultural and "spiritual".
-At least for now, we are not interested in people staying less than two weeks.
-The island is called Mallorca, not Palma, Palma is the capital- Although in the collective imagination, Mallorca is only a summer, beach, and party paradise, this is not the whole reality of our land :).
-We are not looking for a "free worker" but a task and language exchange, but we are not a hotel either. (:D)
Our description:
We are a family with two amazing dogs and a cat. We have nice countryside and we aim to grow a garden (like we do every year), we also have some hens. Lorenzo, the father is a musician (trumpet) and a computer developer, and Justí is a cook (studied winery and Haute cuisine), BA in International Relations, studied a postgraduate program in neurocommunication and is currently studying an MA in Applied Philosophy, a MA in Healing Philosophy and (finisihing very slowly) a BA in Humanities online; he also has the Spanish teacher ELE diploma.
In this house we try to put into practice the principle of respect in all aspects of life: we don't care where you are from, your gender, your sexual preferences or any other personal matter. We take it for granted that this respect will be mutual.
BTW, we are "flexivegeterians" for climate reasons, but we make some exceptions. We are interested in keeping our diet very healthy (not necessarily eating quinoa and goji, we cook local products).
Bear in mind that Mallorca is an Island and that the primary spoken languages are Catalan and Spanish. (don't worry we speak English as well).
Justí (31 years old) was once a workawayer in the USA, so he has already been on the other side and I am sure that with good communication and responsibility, everything can go better than well.
We are especially concerned with biodiversity preservation, politics, activism, feminism, LGTBIQ rights, philosophy, mindfulness, and all the arts in general.
For now, we ONLY WANT TO HOST 1 PERSON per period. We are sure that there are lovely couples and maybe later we will have more work and time for this possibility, but for the moment we do not.
WE PREFER SOMEONE ABLE TO COOK, general house daily work, and some gardening.

You can learn some Spanish and even Majorcan (Catalan) with us! Of course, we will show you amazing places and suggest pleasant activities on the island. We will even sail with our boat and visit lovely creeks (calas). Of course, if you like music or you are a musician is a plus, as well as if you are interested in any kind of humanities (philosophy, politics, arts, languages...).
We speak English, German, Spanish, Catalan, French and a some Portuguese and Italian. And Justí just started learning Danish A1.

Ajuda
Cooking, some cleaning, gardening (we would love if you already have some minimum experience gardening or at least some curiosity to learn more and research about it), in the morning we often need some help feeding Lyra, Chloé (the dogs), Lyn (the cat), our new baby Dara (dog) and the hens (unnamed).

We will definetly prioritize (NOW) a workaway who speaks in English or Portuguese because we already speak French/Spanish/Catalan very well and we want it to be a language exchange.

A driving license is welcome, but it is possible to use public transportation and bike around here. The nearest town is Porto Cristo around 20 min walk, and Manacor (the second biggest city of Mallorca) in 10' by car.
