  We are a busy family of three- mom and two kids aged 14 & 19 (the 19 year old doesn't live at home presently, and the 14 year old is with me every other week). I work full-time at the University and maintain my home and garden in the downtown area of Nanaimo- waking distance to everything! This is a vibrant community with lots of great laces to visit- parks, river, beaches, nearby islands and other great cities short day trips away.
  
  We have a large character home with a furnished room available. I am seeking help with housework, cooking, dog walking, and in the yard/veggie garden in exchange for the room.
  
  We spend a lot of our free time outside - in the warmer seasons the kids swim and coach with the summer swim club, and I swim open water long distance in our ocean and lakes. We hike or trail run with our dog daily. We cook and bake delicious food, and have a very harmonious household. We will be a good fit for you if you like an active lifestyle, and you're able to help around the house.

  I work as a mediator, negotiator and advocate in post-secondary and private practice, as well as working on the side in prenatal education because I love helping families prepare for parenthood. In my household you can learn anything from how to have difficult conversations effectively, to how to give birth to a baby (they have more in common that you might think!) We can also prepare local food together, or show you the area if our schedule allows for it.

  There is a desk available, and I think our internet is sufficient.
