Booking February into May 2023 now. Grab your spot before they fill up!
Girls: February 19--May 31st 1 spot open
Guys: March 29th-July 2 spots open back up.
Winter (until March) is a good time for students who study online. (Typically am feed time, chores-put hay out, check waterers, etc then in from cold until evening feed time)
Summer 2023 we will be putting in Glamping for those interested.
Our calendar changes at times so don't hesitate to ask in case spot opens up. Sometimes people have emergencies and need to leave for family, etc which opens up a spot for Last Minute.
I work outside a lot and try to get in here as quickly as possible to reply. Please understand.
You must be vaccinated to come to stay here. Spots are "secured" with a ticket purchase, sending confirmation of it and flight numbers/bus/train route. MUST be 18 to come. If we don't hear from you in 2 days after contacting you back we will move on to the next person applying.
We are a nonprofit horse rehabilitation center that offers rehab/rescue, education on equine care. We need hands on to help with projects we are working on to complete. You don't have to have experience we can teach you. If working hands on with horses is not your thing and you admire them, there's lots of things you can still do to help them prepare for homes. We need MOTIVATED people who want to learn to work in a horse facility and also learn skills on team work. People with initiative.
What we are not:
We are not a riding stables. We give lessons when able after all chores completed and trainer is here on certain days (when available) and during certain times of the year. So if your intention is to spend lots of time "in the saddle" we don't do that here.
We aren't a "working ranch" for people to ride horses all day and move cattle, ride trails, etc.
We are not a fancy stables ie: "oak veneer walls and carriage lamps" so if you are looking for a high level competition barn we aren't it. We are a rehab that helps horses who have been neglected/abused and are in need of a second chance in life.
*** IF YOU ARE A NIGHT OWL OR CANT BE IN ROUTINE TO GET UP AT 6AM THEN PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. We need people who can get OUT of bed at 6am and be functional at barn by 0630. NOT jumping out of bed at 6:25 and rushing to the barn. This creates a safety issue if you are not awake around horses. Sat/Sun up 7am, barn 730. Evening feed is at 6pm-usually takes one hour.
**We can NOT accommodate additional dogs, horses or pets.*** We DO have dogs in the house, they are like family and love attention and if you have issues with dogs or have a belief/religion or otherwise that does not like them around you please don't apply here.
Contact for more information on how our facility functions on daily and weekly basis, what is required and expected.
We offer 3 meals, snacks, laundry and bathroom supplies. We do not offer Hahal here.
If we do not have a space in the house then we do have Glamping Tents-- 2 of them that would have queen size mattresses in them if you want to camp under the stars. (summer)
We ask that you respect our NO alcohol and NO drugs policy. This also means do NOT come here if you "cant do without" alcohol OR you are going to use your "culture" as an excuse to try to make us change our policies. We have a cigarette smoking area for those who do so. NO marijuana smoking here.
If you are RUDE/Disrespectful to Staff or housemates OR you break the rules you will be asked to leave. We are implementing a NO tolerance policy.
We ask that you read our updated handbook before coming to know chores and schedule.Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

She is attentive and responsive. I was sick for several days and she did everything to make me feel better. Her husband is also outgoing and will talk to you a lot. I was able to visit Oklahoma and its museums. Outings can be organized which is great!
